Will the RS-3 come in both Lightning Stripe and Cigar band, or just Lightning Stripe?

I noticed that the GTRAX team has changed the ETA for this route to March 2023. While I am disappointed that I have to wait a bit longer to satisfy my excitement to drive this route, I am thankful that the team is taking the time they need to make this the best route it can be.

!*salute*!

Excited about this upcoming route. Hope the RS-3 and PA's will have reskinning kits.

Nah it's fine. Dash7Studios is a good friend of mine. I convinced him a few years back to make those lol. Those are the surviving A units at various museums.

A couple of things worth noting about that pack, is that 4068 and 4080 have RPCX on the side of them (which in all honesty is easy enough to cover up yourself) and there's no B units (None survive and the New York Central never ordered E8B's, they would just slap an E7B in the train). He's still around, just he started making reskins for a while then got bored with it or something to that effect and stopped.

That's fine to post that here. That's been out for a couple of years. Additionally there are several F7's done by your humble admin available here in the library both lightning bolt and cigar band versions using the Feather River model.

Amazing route - maybe the best ever. Thank you to all the developers.

Harry

P.S. I'm going to be busy for weeks developing switching assignments for the industries. When finished, I'll share the Switchlist Generator file.

I do love the route so far, however their seems to be a glitch or error with the RS-3's? Their headlights are always shining from each end, no matter where they are placed in a consist. And if I remember correctly, you could cycle through the class light colors on the original release of the NYC RS-3 on DieselWorkshop.

Same here. Haven´t run the RS-3 yet, but encountered them as AI in the PA scenario from Boston to Worcester. When i passed them, they flooded may cab with light from their consist-facing side :D
The animation of the brake handle also seems to be a bit...odd? At first nothing seems to happen; although you can see the lever in the HUD moving. And then it jerkily jumps into position.

Aside from that, my first impression of the route: i like it very much, especially the scenery. I have little to no knowledge about signalling and tracklaying, so i can´t jugde that. But the scenery ist nice
and richly done. So richly, that i ran into a memory dump shortly before Worcester. Shouldn´t had my browser with several tabs open, maybe *!lol!*
(Or i should finally replace my old Phenom II, so i can run the TS in it´s 64 bit version *!rolleyes!* )

You will find TSC a much more rewarding and stable critter in 64 bit.

I did a little experimenting and I found that editing the career scenario, and replacing the rs3's with copies of the ones that came with the route fixed the issue. Even in editor the ones in the scenarios have their lights booming. If you swap in a new one it seems to fix the issue. I wonder if those of you who make workshop scenarios will encounter the lights issue.

Also pro tip: If you don't like DTM's FA sounds, know that the FA is basically a covered wagon rs3 with the same horsepower and same motor like the gp7/9 are to the EMD F series. Jerry rig some better sounds :D
