Just a other demonstration of Mike's dedication. Can you imagine doing that - a 5 hour stream starting at half past midnight local time. I struggle at times to make 10.30 !*roll-laugh*!

A other great demo. A couple of minor tech issues that will be addressed for next time.

We are lucky to have a developer with that dedication...

Mike is generously doing another stream Dec 26th at the same times locally where you are as the last one, showcasing the work on the new Big Boy tender and automatic fireman.

Hopefully available later as a Youtube video, you wouldnt want to miss watching it as it happens !*roll-laugh*!

Many thanks to Mike and I hope everybody had a safe and peaceful Xmas.

Be there or be square...

oopsie - dont think that went quite to plan. Dont you just hate it when that happens! (just like the car fault and the mechanic, but in reverse). I imagine Mike is heading back to the drawing board to give it a dern good thrashing !*roll-laugh*!

Hopefully it wont be too long...

Well worth the watch. It is enlightening to see a master at work. A wonderful I interplay of controls. You can almost feel the heat radiating from this as it passes. So looking forward to its release.

Mike continues to work away on his creation... fine tuning performance and exhaust output. Only a few months to go... !!*ok*!! Hopefully another stream before too long if we are very good and do our chores !*roll-laugh*!

It looks like Farcebook has spit the chewy and I cant see any pages unless I sign up and sign in, and it will be a snowy day way down there before I ever do that (and I dont think I am alone here). Was fine yesterday, today not at all. Upshot is, no updates unless a Farcebook user cares to update this thread. !*hp*!

I'll try to keep a eye out for updates on Fakebook.

It probably has something to do with the most recent changes to the privacy laws, in the UK and in the EU, and how Facebook and others are reacting to it. I saw some announcement (which I admit I didn't pay much attention to) about some features being removed from users in the UK because of that. Such a pity though.

I'll post some screenies here when I've got some new ones. I'm actually on the final leg now. There are only a handful of really minor details to finish on the model. After that, I'll do the weathered version, the optional smoke deflectors (or "elephant ears", or my favourite, "wind wings"), some snow and water special effects, spruce up a few minor sound effects, write the scenarios (for the Wasatch Grade route) and complete the manual (already well underway).

4019 had them for less than a year. It was an experiment that didn't prove its worth, but several people have asked for them, so I thought I'd better include the option.

Make the big giant with so much boiler and no visibility even more sketchy to drive. I like it !*roll-laugh*!

Normal service (take that as you will) has resumed. No idea what the blockage was, but access seems to have been returned. Maybe it was a large bran muffin with the morning coffee :D

Not surprised that the smoke lifters on 4019 didn't work. The whole idea is that the "wind" created by rapid forward movement is funnelled up the front on the smokebox and lifts the exhaust smoke up with it and out of the way. Drag freights typically just don't have sufficient forward movement to create the lift needed. While the BB's could get up to a reasonable speed, they were designed for heavy drag freight. Still, they certainly do look interesting and will be a great addition. **!!bow!!**
