Also don't forget that DTG made concrete reference to the route as a prize for their Halloween spooky story writing contest. There's no way this project is vaporware.... but I too am very excited to get a peek at it!

Woo-hoo! Looks incredible!! I'm truly excited for this DLC - great job Dovetail!

Who else is surprised at the inclusion of the MP36PH-3C/bombardier cars? I might dip a toe into the world of repainting and try to work on Caltrain-branded gallery cars for this route.

Seems MP36's! Another thing im excited for are the UP GP38-2's! So far the only official GP38's we've had are only BNSF.

Time to run some up LIS Jobs (If they have that down there)!

That and the Sacramento Northern will make my day!

There are also NS high hood gp38s.

I'm looking forward to those MP36s. Will be a nice upgrade to the Racetrack. And if anyone ever does a route that covers NS or CSX south out of D.C., these will be perfect for some VRE power and the racetrack gallery cars.

This looks interesting for route creators. There should be possibilities to add onto this route. If you go and read the article. You will see in one of the screenshots the Baybridge. With that in this route it will give people the ability to extend it across the Bay.

It would be a big project but it would add alot to this San Francisco Route. Looking forward to this new route.

You are mistaken about the Bay Bridge. It does not feature in the route.

The MP36 will be ideal also for the Pacific Surfliner route, suited for simulating Metrolink operations. The Racetrack DLC will also add CalTrain repaints to the gallery cars, which i believe that tool Justin Hyland has done.

There is a CalTrain F40PH-2CAT. http://railworksamerica.com/index.php/d ... e-repaints

Will the UP GP38-2 feature advanced brakes?

Thanks for this link. So it looks like the F40PH-2CAT repaint was released to RWA, but the gallery cars might be vaporware?

After looking at the screenshot it is not the Bay Bridge. Just power lines. Too bad it would make it easier to extend this route with the bridge. Just have to wait until the Sacramento Northern Route comes out it does have the Bay Bridge. It is from 1939 and 1940 but it is still the Bay Bridge. Just talking about possibilities on extending this route that is all.

Those MP36PH-3Cs look exceptional. I wonder what the textures are like..? *!greengrin!*

I'd guessed it was the powerline pic that caused the confusion.
However, I'm still unclear as to the relevance of the bay bridge. As we all know, trains ceased running across it in the 50s, and as far as I know, there wasn't a connection with the lines of the Southern Pacific in San Francisco anyhow
Plus of course, Caltrain didn't exist back then. Unless you are talking about a fictional route?
I get the impression I'm missing a point here
