Yep, the Queen visited PA back in the 70s. I still think it's going to be a PA route. Maybe out of Philly.

I still think these hints are for a non-American route.... Why would Dovetail include the realistic braking system if they are not going to bother including a mountainous route? Or am I wrong about eastern PA not having any grades? !*don-know!*

Because it's a general improvement. Train has to stop somehow even on a perfectly flat route.

And what about today's clue? Somehow that does not seem American, nor the windmill....

Could the clogs refer to Holland, Michigan? And Cedar Grove, WI, has an annual Holland festival. I'm crossing my fingers for the north midwest! *!greengrin!*

I'll bet the crew over at DTG are reading all of this, then out at the pub, laughing their cabeese off at y'all guessing. Maybe a few quid bet on who gets it right? !*lho*! !*roll-laugh*! **!!bang!!**

Well... I think the TS population in general, has it narrowed down to some pretty good candidates.

Netherlands.
Pennsylvania.
South Africa.

All have a strong Dutch presence and a tie to Queen Elizabeth II.

I was thinking that too.
We'll probably find the route is in Japan and that the clues are all very cleverly connected but not obvious.

Now Penguins are involved. Adelaides I think. So probably South Africa, or possibly Pittsburgh?

Most likely South Africa. They wouldn't hype the "where in the world" thing if it was another US route.

I'm not placing a bet. In the past their clues were sometimes unbelievable, when the name and place of the route came out.

Most likely South Africa.

Yes, South Africa.
wikipedia wrote:The African Penguin (Spheniscus demersus), also known as the Jackass Penguin and Black-footed Penguin is a species of penguin, confined to southern African waters.

The African Penguin is found on the south-western coast of Africa, living in colonies on 24 islands between Namibia and Algoa Bay, near Port Elizabeth, South Africa.[1] It is the only penguin species that breeds in Africa and its presence gave name to the Penguin Islands.
