Interestingly enough, the New Haven's last big electrics, Class EF-3, used an underframe that was nearly identical to that used under the GG-1s.

As do all locomotives / cab cars that operate on the NEC. Don't get your hopes up for an NPCU from DTG in the immediate future. You'd probably have better luck with a freeware modder or another 3rd party developer.

Also there is a LOT of activity- LIRR, NJT, Ct DOT, and Metro North all are present in NYP, and these should be (appropriately) applied to this route as well
The amount of structural detail is amazing - the recycling bins in the screens provide some hope, but the line side buildings, stations and other features will make or break this route. Id the same 3 or 4 house models are used over and over for the entire length of it, then it just wont feel or look right.

I know it may seem like nitpicking, but like i said- ive been up and down these rails a ton, and im really really looking forward to this coming out- i just hope its done to the best of everyone's abilities (and program limitations).

In terms of the cleanliness, one thing to consider is that DTG basically is allowed to use railroad logos, etc. but there are almost certainly conditions to that usage, one of which is probably that they present a positive image of said railroads. MTA would almost certainly not want to do business with DTG in the future of DTG showed what stuff actually looks like because of the risk that people would be turned off by graffiti. No, I'm not implying that the host railroads are trying to hide something - it's not like it's railroad employees doing the graffiti - just that the railroads probably want DTG to present a positive image and many see graffiti as undermining that (I personally see graffiti as a legitimate art form, but that's neither here nor there).

As for rail traffic, all of the screenshots so far are showcasing the route itself. DTG is playing it close to the chest in terms of what rolling stock will be included with the route (they probably are still working on it anyways).

This is the first picture I've seen from DTG of third rails on the route. Looks like Sunnyside:

Yep, this is Sunnyside / LIC looking east. The anticipation of this release is killing me XD. It looks like they're really pulling out all the stops for this new route and the original route update.

For me to know and you to wonder *!!wink!!* Although I really do hope they really take the opportunity to fix the blaring emptiness of the original route.

Hope you fellas like it anyway. Bob here did exceptional work on the track btw.

The lower photo is Dutch Kills, which is between Sunnyside (for which the yard is named) and Hunters Point, in Brooklyn. That's Thomson Avenue, complete with the intersection in the middle of the overpass. (photo from Bing Maps)

Jolly decent of you to say so, Stuart. *!embar*!

I meant to say yesterday that the chaps have done a superb job with the scenery from the screenshots I've seen.

As you'll know the terrain mesh isn't especially great and the way it's been dealt with through this area into the tunnels is nothing short of amazing. I seriously can't wait to drive the route for real.
