Is the pilot supposed to be the wine red color? Looks great, and I’ll get the reskins, but it looks kinda weird to me as of right now.

Also, there are other Union Pacific engines the Jupiter can be reskinned to: Nos. 59 through 67. I can find a picture of one of those of you would want.

The pilot (as of the latest research) is indeed supposed to be wine color, as is everything below the running boards (you'll notice the only blue below the running boards is on the front of the pilot).

I'd like if you could find a picture, as the difficult thing with UP engines is that many of them were identical except for coal-firing apparati. I have not yet found pictures from this class, but the otherwise-identical Nos. 21-27 and the smaller-drivered Nos. 121-125 were coal-fired. In the same vein, you could look for pictures of Nos. 68-72, which seem to match the specs of 119.

A couple additional notes:
I uploaded these skins to the library on the 5th, so they should show up at some point - I'm not sure what the usual wait time between upload and release is.
Additionally, as of this morning something about my Schenectady loco skins seems to be broken? I don't know what happened or how but literally overnight the pilot and Jupiter dome textures have corrupted, and Jupiter's tender tank seems to have reverted to an original version, despite my having deleted the backups... !*don-know!* I'm going to have a look to see if I can figure out what went wrong.

Found the picture I was looking for, in the book “Westward to Promontory”, published by the American West Publishing Co. (doesn’t hurt to cite it). Counterweights are a bit different, as are the spark arrestor, decorative antlers on the headlight, and the giant toolbox on the tender, however the Jupiter could stand in well for the time being. The only problem is the cursive in the center tender panel which reads “Union Pacific R. R.”.

Interesting! The cab is virtually identical to Jupiter's.

A further interesting thing is the doghouse(?) on the tender. I could approximate the lettering without too much trouble - it was a standard Schenectady text and so I'd already planned to have at least one engine with it eventually - but I don't think I'm going to go with that just yet, at any rate. There are 10 or so other CP engines that match Jupiter more precisely (plus a further 10 that had slightly smaller drivers), in addition to at least one Adirondack Company engine and at least one wood-burning Rensselaer & Saratoga locomotive I could do beforehand that would more perfectly match Jupiter. If we start getting into modifying her design to accommodate different tender patterns, smokestacks, et cetera that's going to get buck wild very quickly, especially considering CP's affinity for five- and six-axle tenders.

Yeah, it would make better sense to repaint the exact sisters of the Jupiter before the adding of child objects gets out of hand (just glad that UPRR No. 66 is not forgotten). I have heard of six axle tenders on the CPRR before (I am myself in the primordial stages of a line drawing of CPRR No. 149 “Black Fox”, as she appeared on the Famous 1876 Lightning Special), and the one-off three axle tender behind a rebuilt 4-2-2 No. 4 “T. D. Judah”, but a five axle tender is unknown to me. I should very much like to see a picture for reference.

For those unsure about Black Fox ca. 1876, she looked like so:
Image
By this time, note that she's got a Stevens original 6-axle tender, Stevens stack, air brakes , added rear counterweights, squared cab panel, and new paint. She's quite handsome, I think.
Here is one example of a 5-axle tender behind #77:
Image
As I understand they were less cumbersome than six-axle designs, but still offered greater stability at speed and improved capacity over four-axle tenders.
Edit:
Just because I located another one and I love their design, here's one behind #1555 in the late '90s:

Note that I have the workman's drawing for that caboose type, so whenever I get around to it that will be happening at some point.

Just downloaded the CP and UP Schenectady 4-4-0s Repaint pack, and installed the .rwp file. However, upon entering the game in the Build tool, the locomotives and tenders appear in the menu, but are completely invisible and intangible when I try to interact with them. I must be missing something here, I think.

Since these are reskinned on DRM-protected payware, both for legal and actual model-functioning reasons you need to copy in the .GeoPcDx files from the original models, as noted in the readme.

A peculiarity I noted when I looked in the Railworks Assets was that there was just the Jupiter Engine 2 folder, with the original nowhere in sight. I will look again tonight when I can get to my computer, but I am most perplexed. Any assistance would be much appreciated *!!thnx!!*

As noted in the Readme, the original files are in the AP pack, which you have to unpack using a program such as RWTools or 7-Zip.

Two of today's four new skins:

The other two are, of course, No. 149 "Black Fox" and No. 151 "Yellow Fox". I am considering revising the K on Black Fox because it looks awkward, but other than that those should be pretty good. There are a further eight CP Schenectadies with 60" drivers, which I am going to be doing in the next couple days. I'm debating whether or not I should also do the set delivered with 56" drivers.

The White and Grey Foxes look beautiful! Can’t wait for the Yellow and Black Foxes (the 149 being my personal favorite)! As to the 56-inch drivered locomotives, you theoretically could use the Jupiter model as stand-ins until the proper 56-inch drivered locomotive models are made, but personally I favor accuracy over quantity. It’s just whatever you want to do, since you’re the one making the reskins. And that is just my $0.02.

A small patch (download size 74.3 MB) has been released on Steam for the Union Pacific No. 119. You might need to exit and restart the Steam client in order for the patch to download and install automatically.

Patch Notes:

* Correction in the manual - it now states that the key combo to toggle (raise or lower) the pulling bar is Ctrl + P (not just P on its own).

* Corrected a texture mapping error that affected the upper trim on the ends of the clerestory coaches.

* Added "brakeman" views to the freight cars, so that in passenger view you're positioned near to the brake wheel (and in the case of the boxcars, up on the roof walkway).
