Our NDA states we cannot reveal details about the DLC or anything to be included. I can tell you that the route is being made from LA-San Diego though. *!!wink!!*

Yes there are many crossing along the route. However, most of the crossing's are now quiet zoned. I think almost everything from LAUPT to Anaheim or Irvine is now quiet zoned? !*don-know!*

"Quiet zoned" meaning no horn blaring allowed? Only bell, and preferable e-bell with forwards loudspeaker only?

There are also many pedestrian crossings at all these platforms. Wouldn't it be nice to have moving pedestrians obeying the signals. Cars running through your train is one thing, but to run over pedestrians is another. *!!wink!!*
It has already been said it cannot be done with the present assets, but ....

They don't have e-bells with forward facing loudspeakers. Not anymore at least. The new E-Bells look like this:

or on the Canadian made stuff, like this:

Meaning you're also involved, Bob, and your mouth is taped shut as well? :D

It will be interesting to compare this route, developed in silence or even secrecy, with the BNSF Stevens Pass, which developers apparently aren't under a NDA.
Their appetizers are really teasing us players and tempting us buyers. Their development screenshots have been met with almost unanimous praise.
And we all know how critical we look at anything RSC produces for the US market. No doubt some Surfliner teasers will be released when they are ready, and they are up to some stiff competition.

For me, a route's "value" consists not only of size and miles of track, but of "originality" in new rolling stock and new useful assets and the "operational fun" it provides.

I don't know how much money I am allowed to spend over X-mas this year, but I guess it will be a tough choice so perhaps I'll have to toss a coin.

In response to someones question on rolling stock for the Pacific Surfliner route, there is a punk going around on the Railsimulator.com facebook page claiming we are only going to get Superliners and P42s. I don't know the validity of the previous statement and I have reached out to the Rail Sim folks via facebook but I have not had a reply yet.

I was the one who said it as a joke. I'm under NDA, so I can't say what's really coming with it.

It is looking good :). Don't forget we'll, well let me quickly re-phrase that, you'll be able to upload any extensions to routes via the expanded Workshop after next week.
