"The search to improve visibility continued in 1989 when BN returned to its traditional colors of green-black-white, and adopted the now familiar large BN logo on green nose and white cab face. The final version was complete with a white stripe area applied to the frame below the cab and radiator areas. In 1989 this became the standard for repaints and new units. The 1990 order of SD60M's 9200-9298 were the only class delivered in whiteface. Finally, in 1991 a two-inch wide white separator stripe was added to the long hood between the upper black and green."

Odd ... I just looked at the manual at the Steam Store site and there's no mention of freight cars included in the package.

Somehow marketing was either asleep or having a bad day when this was released since they more or less failed to tell us about the two positions for the headlight also.

The same thing happened with the Connie and the A4's. You never saw them coming from RSC's advertisements. The last thing that got proper hype, was Marias Pass. js **!!2cents!!**

Very interesting, so there were a few variations of the whiteface!

Now if we can only get North American diesels with non-linear throttle response, we can operate using more than the first notch and these great looking units will also sound good when in use.

I don't know how accurate it is, but this is what I did to make the GP38-2 feel right to me:

It's a little complicated but if you have RW Tools you can make these edits yourself.

I have the source work, as I was doing things to the engine simulation like the main res recharge times and such.

All I did was edit the Tractive Effort vs Throttle csv file as shown in the right hand column of the image above.

You should post them up to the file library! Realism is appreciated!

I'll just post it here for now to see what you think of it. This file goes in your railworks\Assets\RSC\GP38-2BnPack01\RailVehicles\Diesel\GP38-2\BN\Engine folder: Don't forget to backup the original if you try it.

I should point out that this file changes the throttle performance of the BN GP38-2 but not that of the BNSF version.
