I tracked it down (I think). Its not related to the SD45 itself, but the rollingstock included. The freight cars have the same funky brakes that the Cab Forward freight cars have, with the springy couplers, and the physics-defying braking/acceleration issues. See here viewtopic.php?p=79013#p79013 to fix this issue (for anyone who's noticed trainhandling issues with the pack). If you haven't noticed anything odd, well... !*don-know!*

All I can say is that its very distracting to me, and this fix improves realism immensely.

Let me add that the SD45 SP pack, at $9.99, was a wonderful bargain. Its really a great addon!

I don't allow any of those nasty springy couplers on my machine for long.

I saw a video of it yesterday... does it come with sounds similar to the SD40-2 replacement sounds by Aidan Berard or was that just the video creators' one?

They're not really similar but there are some differences. I do highly recommend this addon for US fans.

Any chance of a video of it in default condition?

Same here! Its always the first thing I do when I download something new; check the coupler settings. Its so fundamental, yet missed so often. Aside for the freight car brake settings and couplers, this is really a well rounded package. The attention to detail is nice! Gauge lights and cab light, gyrolight, multiple headlight settings, high res fuel gauge, working cab doors and windows & mirrors, dynamic brake fans that actually respond to dynamics loading, etc! Very, very nice DTM and all those involved!

Well I think the video I saw had the sounds changed. I'm keen to hear what it sounds like out of the box.

Edit: better video below:

Question though, are the fuel gauges supposed to have modeled needles on them?

How about maybe it's because I haven't run the SD45 hardly at all with the cars that came with it. That would be it.
!*cheers*!

Anyone came across the issue with the doors and windows?

I see the doors open and windows open up inside the interior, but exterior the doors are closed and so are the windows?

What happened?

Did I somehow got shafted in downloading this Southern Pacific SD45?
