BNOV2: Yes.

Sully: Keep in mind it is a WIP shot. DTG may leak further WIP shots that have the rest of the NJCL and maybe even the section between Newark Penn and New York Penn with better trackwork. Thanks for noting that the NS GP38-2 Hi Hood lacks the cab signalling for this route. Is the NYNH SD40-2 seen on those local train? Anyhows a NS GP38-2 low hood with cab signalling can be one of the many included locomotives with this route. Or even the VRC CSX GP40-2.

Well, how about this? The NS GP38-2 Low hood should be a standalone cause i can't purchase the NJCL.
Officially retired from train simming as of 2023.

If DTG can do that it would be great. It would be interesting as they only appear about once a week on the NJCL. I might like seeing the ALP-46 and PL42AC, plus Multilevel and Comet IIM/V trailer/coaches included.

Is it really necessary to remind anyone that in real railroading freight pays the bills, regardless of who "they" might be? For my money and time, TS is and has always been a rail simulator well worth what I continually pay out for DLC. In my favorite activities both as a player and as a scenario writer freight dominates, but that doesn't demand or mean that I condemn passenger activity as having had its time. As I see it, there's room for all of us and thus it should remain.

Well, that comment wasn't in any way intended to rattle any bones, or start a debate about which is better. Or who pays the bills, for that matter. Respectfully, I could really care less to be honest. I just felt there needs to be more of a balance in the type of American based content that's been released so far, and I stand firm with it. End of story!

I have to agree 100%---I'll admit that there isn't a lot of American commuter equipment for TS. There are a number of routes that can see equipment not made yet, for example: NJT equipment, now being made! Metrolink Rotems with MP36PH-3C or F125; Some older Metra coaches with F40PHM-2; and Tri-Rail Rotems with the BL36PH, and the list goes on.

Seconded that. Freight has a big role but does not out wieght the fact that commuter railroad pays the bills as well. How do you think millions of people get to and from work everyday? Cars, Bus, and Train. You just can't single out on type of railroading in America. Its been lopsided for years now but I guess DTG finally is seeing were the DLC profits are atm. We needed something refreshing and I think commuter or passenger DLC is that refreshment.

This is actually mostly New Jersey, really.. the route, however does originate out of New York Penn Station , and Hoboken, New Jersey. And as for why? You're in the wrong place to ask that. And why not.. is the question. But with many, like myself, who have feverishly requested anything NJT, this is a victory. And possibly just a taste of what's to come. Besides, New York, like other major areas of the US, has a lot to offer, when it comes to railroading. Especially when it comes to passenger rail. The busiest, if not the most important rail network in the entire country.

In addition to that, it's not like there's a huge abundance of New York Based routes, or route that originate from New York. So far, there's just two of them. AND, there's a plethora of routes that could spawn keep anyone who is interested in anything out of the New York tristate region.

With that in mind, having the LIRR for TS2016 or TS2017 UE4 is a possibility, maybe a network of LIRR lines (With Penn, LI City, and Atl. Term.) round New York extending up to Babylon.

That would be awesome. As with my very recent experience running a route that that spans virtually the entirety of Denmark's rail network.. it's possible to do LIRR's network. If I had the skill, decent amount of knowledge, and some time, I'd totally take it on.

Any indication yet as to what part of the network is actually modeled?

Where is that first picture located? On the NEC or on the line to Hoboken?

I gather, NJT uses the NEC like NYC Penn Station-Secaucus-Newark Penn-Rahwah Jct, and then branches off.
So part of the present NEC route could be re-used, I hope they'd include Hoboken terminal with Manhattan across the Hudson.

That part shown is shortly after the hoboken terminal is called East End interlocking.. So, the Answer your question is, Yes, they will use Hoboken as a terminus, And more than likely, Penn Station as well, though I honestly, have no official confirmation of that. I just can't see them not including Penn Station, as it is one of the Main Starting points, if not the most direct way of getting to Bay Head, which you may, or may not know, is the Southern most terminus of the NJCL.
