Apply the independent brake and notice the pressures in the HUD (F3, 4 and 5) and SDIS display don't chance at all.
This probably affects all the recent releases since Canadian Mountain Passes, when the "improved braking" script has been introduced.

DTG don't know a thing about US locos and with the engine script obfuscated we cannot change a thing ourselves!
Back to Run 8 for a while until DTG fixes this. Otherwise, how hard would it be to create a *working* engine script that takes all controls in proper account?

If that is the case then my DLC buying days will come to an end :(

got it.

Exterior and sound is pleasant.
But physics is disappointing - wheel slip increased as speed increased on the same notch. and brake goes to emergency at 45%.

Light control switch works in wrong way - rear headlight switch is dead, and front headlight switch does front/rear instead of dim/bright mode (as it supposed to be on real loco). Why they copy-paste this deviance of switch behavior from release to release?

on Ian's and Reppo's locos light switches work correctly

After a short run last night, I'd agree with the physics issue..I do see that a physics upgrade has been uploaded to the library here, I'll try that today.

The other thing I find most irritating is the long horn looping...hopefully there will be a fix/replacement for that coming up.

What type of horn does the S80 MAC use? I'll try to get a horn fix put up.

That would be great if you could. I downloaded a horn set from here today but when I looked at the proxyxml file, there is no entry for horn_start. horn_end etc, just one for the horn loop. I also noticed that the SD80MAC includes a file called "DTG SD80MAC ShortHornLoop.dav" which sounds like it may fix our issue but is not referenced in the horn proxyxml file...

Check out the Searchlight Simulations SD40-2 horn (which is an RS3L recording.) It works great with the SD80MAC :) You can just plug in the folder path for the SD80 into their proxyxml if you want to keep it specific to the SD80 and use the SD80 bell sound as well. I would post the proxyxml and folder structure myself but Searchlight did not want it distributed by anyone else.

It's alright (; Go for it and post it if people want it.

Very nice of you, thanks :)

I'll try to put it in the file library, not quite sure how the uploader works since it didn't ask me for a category and such (my first upload here.)

edit: I attached it to the post, hopefully that works for the time being. Just put the Audio folder and its contents into your Railworks\Assets\DTG\SD80MacPack01 folder and give it a shot.

How to transfer Krellnut's wagon sounds 3.1b to CSX coal gondolas, supplied with SD80MAC

1. download and install Krellnut's Wagon Freight Sound Pack v.3.1b if you don't have it yet
http://railworksamerica.com/index.php/d ... =25:sounds

2. download and install PennCoal.zip (wagon sound configs for NS Coal District freight stuff)
it is a separate download under previous link. they should be unpacked , so these subdirectories created:
<your game folder>\Assets\RSC\PennCoal\Audio\RailVehicles\Wagon
<your game folder>\Assets\RSC\PennCoal\Audio\RailVehicles\Wagons

3. copy content of <your game folder>\Assets\RSC\PennCoal\Audio\RailVehicles
to <your game folder>\Assets\DTG\SD80MACPack01\Audio\RailVehicles

you don't need to do anything with .ap archives, if file with the same name exist in unpacked format outside of the archive, it overrides content of the .ap, located on the same relative path

basically, there are 2 sub-folders under RailVehicles: Wagon and Wagons, you need both with content

To my surprise, it works in existing scenarios without adding WJ Sound provider into scenario config
