While I am very excited about the opening up of the Steam Workshop, I am a bit worried too. Up until this moment, the Workshop scenarios have been easy to understand and easy to use. Generally (with the exception of a few hiccups here are there), a scenario listed exactly what assets you needed to own as DLC (which can be easily found and purchased from Steam as well) to run it.
I found these two examples today while browsing the latest scenarios:

I'm certainly not picking on these guys, but this is exactly the kind of thing that will ruin the experience. If you're familiar with Railsworks America, you can probably figure out what you need to get and how to get it. The first problem is, what if you aren't familiar with Railworks America? The next is, what happens when various versions of these assets start being put up on the website? What happens when one doesn't work with the other? What happens when the asset disappears from it's referenced location (we run into this as it is, when certain asset creators take down their items, etc etc)?
I don't know if RSC has any plans to help mitigate these issues, but it seems like it will be a bit of a mess and that makes me kind of sad.

I realize that there is the option to ignore these scenarios if you're not interested in venturing out and going to find the required assets, but at least at this moment, there's no indication that it's necessary, except for the scenario author's comments (which, if I'm honest, aren't exactly the clearest instructions ever written).
I just sort of hope for a little 'quality control', but I admit that I don't have a best answer on how to do that.
