I agree. I did the West Chicago freight scenario and it told me I got zero points because of timeliness. I was within 2 mph between every movement and never went wrong anyplace and still no cigar. !*not-ok*!

That's funny because I got 728 points. Pretty good considering I almost NEVER do scenarios at all. Mostly because I'm too busy to commit myself !*roll-laugh*!

I've been with Railworks since #2, and I make scenarios, and yet I'm still only on level 0. !*roll-laugh*!

I'm not saying this can't be done, I'm just surprised Buzz because you are usually one of the ones like me, saying to put the files in the external folder structure.
Because of how the modifications work, is why I started using the .RWP file system for the first time... recently.

I typically only make standard scenarios. Less pressure. !*roll-laugh*!

I just read some negative reviews about the Racetrack... I'm very disappointed in whoever wrote the reviews.

1. Someone said that it sucked because of low FPS and that "DTG should respect consumers and optimize the game." (facepalm)
2. Someone else said that it was terrible because "DTG wouldn't let BNSF put in the logos and the P42 sounds terrible and you can't drive it." *sigh*

Sometimes you just gotta ignore these twits.

"VLP cars"--designed to reduce framerates in populated yards.

"P42 sounds terrible"--get over it, it's designed to be an AI train.

"DTG wouldn't let BNSF put in the logos"--problem solved, download this patch: http://railworksamerica.com/index.php/d ... ccessories

Man, people can just quit bitching when they have to realize that this is a game, and there are many third party fixes on this site.

What's worse is that they thought it was DTG's fault, not BNSF.

Every time I read comments or 'reviews' on the steam forums I think my IQ drops a little. Best to ignore the trolls.

However, they can be entertaining -- rather like watching someone else's kid throw a temper tantrum. And neither the kid nor the trolls have to be taken seriously.

Although you do not specify which F40PH scenario you're speaking of, I figured as the guy who wrote the scenario I should reply. The answer is the scenario (all of them) is entirely achievable. It was tested extensively by multiple individuals all of who were able to complete the scenario within the timetable. It might interest you to know that these scenario timetables are largely based on actual Metra schedules, but in fact are slightly more forgiving than the actual schedules. It has been a tradition on the Racetrack dating back to CB&Q days that the "dinky" schedules are tight, so just as in real life, the schedule is demanding and it requires prompt departure from each station and crisp, quick braking arrivals into stations.

You guys need to remember two things.
1. Some of these complaints are legitimate.
2. Some of the outrageous complaints and comments may actually be shills for the competition, such is the level that the computer and software industries have sunk to.

Welp, looks like it's time for a new cab update! LOL !!**sorry**!! I just think it's funny, all the tiny nit picky things people get bent out of shape about, because people expect it to be realistic to the atomic level. Sheesh! Move on already! Regardless, this is pretty cool short read. Hopefully this prevents any disasters on Metra in Chicago anywhere. Simple solution to a complex problem of course. Still in love with the route, need to play a few of the tougher scenarios, however.

The article states the chime only kicks in for 20mph or greater decreases - so on this line would only be in effect for temporary restrictions/ workzones.

I'm also wondering if this is system-wide or Metra only - the article doesn't specify, so it's possible the feature won't be installed on the BNSF/ UP lines: the train crews there are employees of their respective railroads rather than Metra.

Went to Wheaton on UP's Geneva Sub for the train show today. Walked out with these: $20 total for both of them ($10/ea.)

and we caught a train or two on the bike path right next to the fairgrounds and then moved to our usual spot at Rt. 59. Not a bad day. Saw some CN trains crossing at Eola in the distance, a few Metra's, a private C&O "Chapel Hill" on Amtrak 5, a new Tier 4 GEVO in BNSF paint, which I hadn't seen before, and Amtrak B32-8WH 506 went west on the outbound Chief also. After we left, we heard of a 12 engine power move with NS 8098 and some GP39-3's. But I love the Burlington Metra cars. Glad BNSF didn't overthrow them all! Only partially! Only posting a few photos on this post. The rest can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/tjyproductions/posts/914586505255128
