Buzz,
What locomotives were you using that illuminated the tunnel walls? I was using the GP9's on the directors special scenario.

I love the Daylight scheme on diesels. They had a couple SD40s in an experimental Daylight scheme as well, too bad it never caught on

It would be easy to modify but all the 99% of the rail on Donner would be continuous welded so there wouldn't be alot of clickety-clack.

There is a missing asset (soil embankment) used in the areas where it looks like the track is floating.
Not sure how it was missed from the last build but i deleted all my local content and grabbed latest from steam and sure enough it was not there.
I'll address it on my return to the office in Jan.

sorry chaps.

Office? Far out, all I got is a computer desk in the living room where I have to put up with Dora the Explorer on never-ending loop on the TV next to me.

It's checking things like this even after they are out that make you and Bob a couple of the best route developers out there. I'm not going to try to say whether that's due to love of one's labor or OCD. *!lol!* I'm just going to enjoy the benefits of it.

I was wondering why some of the track was floating like that. I guess I'll add in some substitute embankments or fix the terrain in the meantime.

You beat me to it. I noticed the floating tracks on track #2 just before two tunnels going east, but before you hit Colfax.

Otherwise I've driven from Roseville towards Sparks and I'm at the halfway point. Looks awesome! After I've run the route, I'm gonna do the side by side with the old route next to compare the changes. Should be interesting. Great job Derek!

On a side note and a little off topic, I found sound problems with using the newer ES44 from Sherman Hill and with the new SD45.

On the ES44.....that rattling idle sound should only be heard at idle, but it still plays during notch 1 too. It disappears at notch 2.

On the SD45 there are 2 issues. From 50% throttle to 63% throttle (notch 4 to 5 I think off the top of my head), there is no step up in the engine sound. The RPM sound remains the same.

The second issue is when you have it in run 8, it sounds run 8 from the outside or out either window........ but doesn't inside the cab. From the outside you can hear the classic drum roll, but inside cab the background sound has no drum roll. It's got a "voom-voom-voom" background sound that is indicative of quite a few notches lower instead. Just toggle between the two views and the difference is obvious. !*not-ok*!
EMD 2-strokes rule! My all time favorite: SD45X also love the SD40-2/SD40T-2/SD45-2/SD45T-2/DD35A/DDA40X/SD70ACe/SD80ACe

All sound issues are known. -_- I have them fixed, but I have to wait for new year and approval from the higher ups.

Yeah you are just missing some stuff. It's all there when complete.
