If you guys would like a better K5LA. I reccomend you go buy one, and learn how to get it to sound like an F59PHI. Or pay for me to go out there and record one when it isn't in service. I worked with what I could get.

Is that your truck?

I don't know about the horn because I have never heard one for real.
With that horn on your truck, you'll be heard for miles away and will give any old lady crossing the street an instant death by decibel!

Your samples are probably OK, it is this whole modifier chain in the proxyxml and the fact that hardly any computer is hooked up to a decent HiFi.
My LCD speakers aren't the best. But some horns from MSTS, Trainz or TS2014 sound more tinny than others.
My problem with most TS2014 horns is that they don't seem to decay pleasantly due to limitiations in the audio code. Also, audio emitters seem to be overloaded sometimes
How many a samples and loops can be played back at the same time without delay and distortion?

How do you record a good locomotive horn sound in the first place?
Asking a frienly engineer at some station stop to toot a few times and you recording from a distance?
You don't need a written permission from Amtrak claiming their horn sounds are unique and trademarked?

I just love the way the cab car rocks when you are going down the track. Excellent work. I apologize for not finding anything to pick at yet. !*roll-laugh*!

"Does the San Onofre nuclear power generating station use the rail for fuel and waste transport, for there are spurs leading into the territory?"

It's mainly for the huge amount of pipes, pumps and valves and such that a nuclear plant uses and needs to be replaced on a time schedule.

This is one nice looking route, I'm going to see if I can buy it soon, along with the new ES44DC pack. It's neat to see an RSC route with few grievances about everything. :D

I really like it, too. Only thing is finding the switch for cab lights or gauge lights at night. I'm getting used to the brakes. Love the scenery and details. Way cool! !!*ok*!! !*salute*!

Really liking the route here as well. But is there anything you can do to increase the sound volume of the passenger cars? I mean, they are silent as all of the rolling stock by RSC and we don't have any American passenger sound packs. I listened to the audio files of the wagon running sounds and their volume is okay but in-game the cars are way too silent...

Liking it too so far, unfortunately not had much time to run it, but I really must take the Surf Liner to LA someday, especially as its not that far away.

Well now that track will be used to help dismantle the plant over the years since it was retired very early due to premature wear found on over 3,000 tubes in the recently replaced steam generators.

I'll get this route at a later date. My only concern with it is the lower than normal frame rates some are reporting. But I gotta have it. I hope someday they finish it all the way to San Luis Obispo, but that may only happen in someone's modify/extension of the route.

Did you try L key? Usually that's the cab light key.

The gauge light switches are over the windscreen on the small panel to the right.
The "Gauge light dimmer" knob on the dashboard is actually the flashing ditch light switch.

Both the yellow "Alert Reset" and the red "ATS" buttons on the control desk don't seem to work.
The sanding button works but the sanding light doesn't come on.
Due to the persistent bug in the code the wheelslip light doesn't come on also.

The speedometer on the conductor's side works, that's a nice detail.

The track is very good, both in quantity and quality. You can be rightfully proud of your work, Hertsbob! !*salute*!

Have we ever seen such a spaghetti bowl of track in our sim before as in downtown LA?
There are very few bumps and jolts in the mainline track indicating all vertical and horizontal transitions are nicely smoothed.

Are all lines leading off the main Surfliner trunk finished and passeable by trains?
That southern end past San Diego city limits down where that loop is, is deliberately bare of any scenery?

Yes it is. I actually got as far as filling some of it in, but they wanted me to stop by the flyover there so thats what I did. No idea if they plan to do anything with it in the future or not.

Is the southern 3rd of the route ok? Not looking for praise, but general feedback is always useful.
