Completed one run so far, I really like what I'm seeing. Route looks great, wonderfully detailed, just as I would expect from this team.

I'm trying to switch out the horn on the GP9. I've replaced the F7 Horn.proxybin and F7 Horn.proxyxml with my desired replacements in this folder: RailWorks\Assets\HIS\MountainSub\Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\F7\Cab, however I'm still hearing the default horn. I'm making an assumption that the F7 folder is the one that applies to the GP9 as I've seen this approach with previous DLC (similar sounds between a GP9 and F7?), plus there's no GP9 folder. Can anyone help me figure out what I'm doing wrong here or if the horn files are elsewhere for the GP9?

Thanks

I'm sure Michael will step in and correct me if I'm wrong, but I think the three dav files for the horn, located in RailWorks\Assets\HIS\MountainSub\Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\F7 (not the Cab subfolder), are DTGF7HornStart.dav, DTGF7HornLoop.dav and DTGF7HornEnd.dav.

Hi,
the horn used on the Geeps is this one:
Audio\RailVehicles\Diesel\GP40PH\Horns\RS3L\GP40_RS3L_HornSound.xml

I recommend editing the link in the engine blueprints (children section, right near the bottom of the file) to link to your preferred horn audio. That way you can alter every loco individually.

Cheers,
Michael

Thanks Michael, I remember now that you said you'd changed it recently.

Great route, great locomotives and at last a GP9 we, outside the US, can access with decent braking. It might be me (or mine) but my Raildriver causes the throttle to move but the ammeter and engine does not, all other controls function correctly. The engines respond to keyboard and mouse but not the Raildriver throttle. This is the case with all engines in this dlc. I have tried the GP9 and SW but not the others on Livonia - same result but my other engines from other dlcs respond to the RailDriver. I have not tried engines from other dlc in the Mountain sub.
Can anyone advise - is it my Raildriver or is it the engines in the DLC - I do not have this issue with any other engines.

On the B&O, everything from Viaduct Junction to the east end of the yard has driveable tracks. Both humps are modeled but of course you can't really use them for car classification in this game because any uncoupled car loses its physics after getting a certain distance away from the player.
The WM's Cumberland trackage is modeled from Cumberland station through Ridgely Yard and Maryland Junction to Knobmount Yard. Knobmount was also a hump yard in reality, but here I took the liberity of "flattening" it because of it's compact size and layout, which would have caused terrible difficulties with the switches and gradients.
Cheers,
Michael

Thank you for your explanation Michael, the way the game is arranged by DTG I thought hump yard operations may be difficult to reproduce, anyway, I bought the route and it's fantastic, a real work of art. Must have taken weeks to get all the yards constructed, and the scenery assets are superbly made, the houses, churches, farms, station depots, signalboxes, everything looks right for the time period, and with the included locomotives and rolling stock, it's worth every penny. Well done to you all, here's to your next project, this will keep us all busy in the meantime. !*cheers*!

Further to the RailDriver issue mentioned earlier -

The GP40-2 and SD35 both work with the Raildriver visually and "electrically" in that the levers and controls on the engine Control Stands both respond in movement of the levers (in the cab and on the HUD) and in movement of the locomotives. This does not happen with the GP9 (SHF and LHF) or any of the SWs, movement along the track is achieved using the keyboard or the mouse (to move the HUD controls) but not the RailDriver.
The DTM SW1200DRG responds to the RailDriver and the new BL2 does also so the issue is in the locomotives for the B&O Mountain Sub.

I've had a quick look at the scripts for all four locos and I think I might know why it works on the GP40-2 and SD35 but not on the other two. I can send you a couple of patched files to try out a fix for it. I'll PM you soon.

Hey Mike, DTG should get you to fix the brakes on the Tehachapi Pass BNSF ES44 DC that everyone complains about.

Yet further to my earlier posts

I am delighted to report that Mike Rennie has sorted out the problem and a patch. I have tested all the "erring" locos and they now work (like all the others). My thanks to Mike for his speedy actions.

I'm liking the B&O Mountain Sub more and more! High Iron did not skip on the detail of this route.

Wondering if High Iron is in the works for a Cumberland to Hagerstown via Martinsburg route or if someone is going to start a project on filling in the rest of the route and then merging the Hanover Sub. All in all, can't waiting to drive the U30's over this route.
