It could be a mere coincidence. but the latest version of TS seems to enable the save option when asset blocks are clicked on. This may be to reduce the annoyance of moving scenery objects in the blocks only for the game to act like nothing's happened.

Why is DTG risking causing armageddon by doing this?

In other words, it's not a bad thing.

No idea where I've been..prolly under a rock (or a rival simulator). I would be able to run Tomcat's Cajon & Palmdale Cutoff Route without worrying about SBHH errors.

I have a few scenarios in progress that would dump the moment I got near West Colton. As soon as TS2019 comes out, I hope to remedy that and release them.

I'm still a little confused, will all previous routes run as 64 bit, or just new ones from here on out? I know it says it won't break older content, but its not very clear to me if older content will run as 64 or still be 32.

The whole program is 64 bit, so all of your old routes will run as 64 bit.

All routes and content are architecture independent. It is all written in .xml, and the textures are independent too.

Only the core routines that interpret the .xml and render the textures will be compiled in 64 bits.

I’d be interested to try this when out, but I can’t get TS2018 to start anymore. Since I built the new computer, it crashes on start every time. I’ve verified the cache several times. Don’t have any issue with my more than 100 other Steam games. TSW works great. Looks like I’m done with TS2019 before it’s even out.

If you have been following the thread over on problems I suggest you run logmate and we can probably figure out quickly what is causing your problem.

You installed the OS (Windows 10 I suppose) and Steam and all your games anew on that new computer?

Are you sure all the DirectX, dotNet, PhysX and VisualC from the Install folder inside the Railworks folder have been installed?
It doesn't hurt to install these by hand again as many of this stuff is considered obsolete under Windows 10.

I'm pretty sure Steam installs all of those if the game calls for them.

I installed a new MB and CPU and wiped the SSD and installed Win 10 fresh on it. All my other drives were just moved over to the new computer.
I installed Steam and opened it and installed a couple of games, but of course all the files were still on the hard drive that I moved over to the new mb with all my games on them. Steam actually found all of them where it knew they were before and "installed" them automatically. It was a painless process, and all of them work fine so far, except TS2018. I can run logmate though. I'll do that tomorrow.

How close do you think it is to release? The big updates are usually around this time of year, aren't they?

Usually in September but DTG is being extremely tight lipped on the release date and any other details except what was initially released. !*hp*!

It's kind of irritating, because it would sure be nice to know when I can actually start working on the Scenarios for our AC4400CW again when it will hopefully not crash after putting instructions in for one train...
