For me, a new GP40-2 means another step away from reliance on the Portland Terminal Route for the same...not that PT was a bad route, but it’s availability has caused problems for newcomers....

What? You mean I don't have to buy every bit of DLC that comes out. That can't be right - DTG couldn't seriously expect me to waste my time complaining about something I bought months ago...

I'm not too concerned about era specific. I just don't see what all the fuss is about. 
To me its like arguing over the difference between incandescent and LED lights, or a 2017 car vs its 2018 model year.
Of all the things to possibly complain about the community chose era specific traits this time.

So being one of those guys that must have EVERYTHING American I went ahead and bought this thing. Haven't had a chance to run it yet however it is on the large format like the E8 and looks like you can find the body parts easily enough unlike some of the earlier models so doing other liveries should be much easier.
