Which is why I had no problem with uncoupling. I rarely use the HUD to uncouple.
As to physics. The physics were off AFTER resuming from a save. As was the ammeter not working.
I have noticed this before on Feather River. Before a save ( Feather River) N3 would give a slow increase in speed and N2 a slow decrease. After a resume I would need to use N4 to increase speed and N3 for a decrease. All with the same slope. Something in the core???

Was my explanation clear on the work around?

Did you mean by moving along to the couplings and hovering your mouse pointer over them which should change into a coupling icon, yes but the mouse pointer wouldn't change into a coupling icon so didn't work. Haven't tried the overhead view yet.

Noticed also the mirror is only present in external view, in cabview it is completely missing.
The ammeter values seem to be weird, consulting the simulation.bin it should produce around 1000 Amps, but maximun in Notch 8 whle starting is around 250 or so - resulting in minimal Ammeter needle movement since maximum value for this control value is 1060 in engine.bin. Adjusting this to 320 makes the needle travel near end of the gauge.

The dynamic brake instead has an output of 700 Amps, which matches the value in the simulation.bin.
Overall I'd say it is not really an PRO model, nothing really special with it with exception of the size :-)

The variables of advanced loco scripts aren't properly saved or reloaded is my experience with other "advanced" locos.

This locomotive is has two separate "engine.bins" under its unpowered body? I think that explains why you cannot use the HUD to operate the couplers, since the locomotive body has none.

I like that suggested change to get the ammeter to be more responsive. Good catch. Works good now.

Unless my eyes deceive me, the wheels on the front and rear bogies do not rotate... the wheels on the inner of the two bogies visibly do so.

A minor irritation...maybe explains why the units are a bit underpowered *!lol!* (in case anyone is in doubt, I am not being serious!)

DTM's QA has lost my faith. This is the third subsequent piece of DLC that has copy-paste texture dependencies that weren't checked. RW_Tools should be able to find the incorrect paths.

Have the SD45-2 and SD45T-2coupler texture problems been officially corrected now? No more GP35 pack needed??

My couplers work just fine. What date is on your last update? This is way off topic BTW.

Let's take this over to the DTM page if you want to keep talking about it.

Hi Thorsten,

Please forgive my ignorance here, as well as dredging up an old thread, but I'm assuming you mean that the minimum value is -320, and the maximum value is 320. That does work, and the ammeter goes about 3/4 of the way towards the end of the green side in notch 8, but it only produces around 250 amps. How does one get the full 1000 amps?

Cheers,
Dave
