Here's a link to the route's Users' Manual, for those who want the full rundown:

This looks really good.
39$ for 16 scenarios is good value.
Included assets are of great quality, especially compared to the outdated ones distributed with v2. Custom liveries are beautiful. I like that all engines use non-self-lapping brakes.
Documentation is top-notch, with proper emphasis on scenarios. I especially like the "scenarios map" on page 8. That's something I've not seen for other routes. The text is well-written and clear, for example "Operating the Train Brakes" on page 23.
It really feels like a solid, self-contained package worth its price.

Has the T&D update email been sent to any of you guys yet? I have yet to receive it.
Then again, maybe I'm just impatient?

The Trains and Drivers update has not gone out yet -- we are still building it. We spent the last few weeks frantically bugfixing the route (and there were many bugs to fix!). Please be patient with us, the update will come!!! We will announce it here and on our blog when we start sending out the emails.

Cheers
Michael

It looks like in the article by Gary Dolzall that the B&M blue boxcars don't have any logos...was there a licensing issue?

Does the Steam Version load into a new folder or, for those who have the older V2, into the VNHRR folder?

If I had to guess, most likely. Probably for preventing what happened with Portland Terminal happening again.

The new version is uses the same route ID and assets folder. No matter whether you want to get the Steam version for one reason or another or get the update directly from us, the old version (v1 or 2) should be uninstalled first or there will likely be issues.
