Well, even though it might be an old ROUTE, the accompanying NEC scenery assets were brilliant. Lots of skyscrapers, suburban houses, factories, warehouses, the Philadelphia Museum, the Cira Centre building in Philly, and of course, the AEM 7 electric loco which was quite good, all of these can't be utilised on Workshop offerings any more in any way, shape, or, form, for new players to the game, how very sad, especially, anybody from the local area. I hope that DTG can rescue some of this content, surely it can't be considered junk and just thrown away. !*don-know!*

With this route, and the Acela taken off.. that has to mean more than what DTG is willing to share. They didn't remove the GG1, and it was made for the NEC as well. No complaints whatsoever was made, as far as I know, on that loco. But the fact that the Acela was removed, when they knew it was still a loco that could have been used on the other two routes, has to mean something.. like it possibly receiving an upgrade that has been long requested, like a passenger view (something I've longed for), and fixes to their in cab signalling system, amongst a couple of other things, anyone here with a more extensive knowledge of said loco.

Now, with a possible future release of the multilevels, which I know for a fact is heavily used along the NEC, that COULD be packaged with a more suitable upgraded version of the Fallen route, OR, just make an extension of the NJCL to Philadelphia, seeing as they did the NY to Rahway portion pretty well. One reason I'm leaning on the possibility that multilevels will be made, is the Easter eggs in NJCL. The NJT posters at many of the main stations have pictures of them. I don't see why they would put those up when they could have used other NJT posters/advertisements. Also, The fact that Elphaba (Gary Dolzall) hasn't made a single scenario using NJT equipment for NEC, could also be something else that may hint that a revamp could possibly be very well in the works. I kinda have a good feeling this route will rise from the ashes, sorta speak, with something spectacular. I could be wrong too, and I hope not, but putting this all together.. somehow makes way too much sense to me.

^Why would they remove the Acela? It's still a pretty modern model.

According to DTG, the same reason they took off the other DLC. But it is a major part of my theory, as to what they may be up to. With the possibility of merging routes, it would be a great opportunity for them to extend on the NJCL line to Philadelphia, that way we have a NEC route that is up to their current build standards. And I also have very high hopes of them releasing more NJT content, as they have sort of placed easter eggs throughout the NJCL with posters of Multilevel coaches along with the PL42AC loco. Not too sure the loco itself uses the NEC mainline much, but those cars do, and they've been highly requested since the introduction of the NJCL along with the currently released equipment. I have a feeling that if my predictions hold any weight whatsoever, they may do some of these things. The route itself could be redone over, re-released as an update, packaged with the AEM-7 (which may also get slight upgrade of some kind) still. The Acela would also be updated significantly, most likely with a passenger view, along with some inner workings such as a cab signals to work with all current routes the train could run on. And in addition, it could be released alongside some multilevels, or other relevant NJT equipment, like the Arrow III's. Thinking positive on this.

Someone on the workshop uploaded a route merger for the NJCL and NYNH.

For what its worth- The NEC (New York to Philadelphia) is still available thru Amazon.com

http://www.amazon.com/Northeast-Corrido ... s=dovetail

If the link does not work, just search "Dovetail" under software. You might find a few other things there that is no longer listed.

I do love how some threads explode.

There have been a number of packs removed from sale - correct. But we have not said they will not come back.

We have been creating DLC for so many years now and it was always going to be the case that there was going to be a number of packs that are showing their age and even worse have a number of issues that are no longer acceptable.

I don't know if anyone has noticed but we have started going through a number of DLC fixing issues and releasing them on a weekly basis.
Some packs however need to be taken down as they will take longer to address.

Watch out for more information on our website over the coming months.

best regards

if only you knew how our emotions can flare up. :D

More clear information could have prevented speculation, like: "the routes and trains have been taken down temporarily for evaluation and improvement and will make a comeback later (this year)".

Good to hear a lot of older DLC is getting an overhaul. Many of the US DLC is old and not up to standards anymore.
Some is even broken. i.e. has trucks mounted the wrong way round, or a snowplow on the wrong end.

Hopefully this will all get fixed before we move on to the new UE4 based Railworks.

That's good to know, Derek.
I wonder how we can know about which DLC gets updated?

But would you be able to download it as you use the code on Steam to download it and as it isn't there you won't get it. Amazon should take it off there site !

Yes you can. I recently bought the GP9 pack that is no longer listed thru Amazon. I was sent a e-mail from Amazon with the code and instructions.
