If somebody can post a picture of the latest cab, I'd appreciate it. :D

I have the original release, the control stand having different gauges than the latest release.

Also, can somebody please clarify: Does the new model have two control stands *!question!*

If a single control stand, where is it placed *!question!*

The pictures I've seen show the control stand on right side of cab, facing out toward the short high hood.

Thanks,

Rob

There is only one control stand and it is facing the long hood on the right side.

Thanks. Could you post a picture? I'm curious what the view looks like.

on steam screenshots looks like ordinary cab

btw what is the reason to have high noses and LH forward? Do NS care about visibility?

It has a new horn, but the other engine sounds are the old, unchanged sounds from the Railworks days.

What does it sound like? A P5 horn? Or is it off of a existing model.

Yes, mostly like a P5, but it sounds like it was recorded as the train was approaching (Doppler shift - too high of a pitch).

Crew safety in case of collision, but higher chance to get involved into collision.

I heard about accident, when loco faced LH forward, hit the MOW crew. 2 of crew men were killed instantly and one seriously injured.
Blame was on the crew (they neglected safety and didn't warn dispatcher about exact location of work site, so engineer wasn't alarmed about particular milepost)
But , restricted cab visibility contributed to that

Another story was the train hit the truck on grade crossing, when driving in similar fashion.

Hey Buzz:
Thanks for posting the pictures; I got it now. *!!thnx!!*

The new version has the control stand facing long hood forward, whereas the old version has the control stand facing short hood forward.
