According to steamdb there are two different Steam Subs. One is for the USA and the other may be for Canada and the rest of the world. I wish that the Steam screenshots showed the BNSF branding as most of the route's buyers are American.

These two unknown Steam Apps may be for the BNSF branding.

Somehow this seems to make sense. All the files are there so I get the feeling some key or validation related isn't working.
Unpacking the .ap files doesn't seem to work for me, so now the waiting game begins. Don't mind waiting a day I guess, but it is a tad embarrasing. *!lol!*

I was at Taco Bell on my lunch break I saw the route had been released.... grabbed my tacos and zoomed out of the restaurant to my house. I bought the addon but am having the same issue as the users above. The route installed fine but the scenarios must not have unpacked correctly. I couldn't explore the issue more because I had to go back to work. **!!bang!!** Shame, I know you guys and Gary have gone out of your way to provide great scenarios. Hopefully DTG will figure out a patch or something. I know this is on their end, not yours at all. Still very, very excited to get home and try again later!

It is limited to USA market only?

No - there is as U.S. Version and a "rest of the world" version to address licensing.

Steam and/ or DTG clearly is having issues

All of this was supposed to be tested prior to release

Thanks, Barnez.

Bought it from the main store page, got it downloaded and installed. I think I am sorted.
That's one hefty 2.4 GB asset folder you are shoving on us. Big city, big asset folder. !!*ok*!!

What scenarios are supposed to be included in the international version? I cannot seem to find any ...
I've checked the MainContent.ap, and there aren't any scenarios included.

We need to start a new thread for various concerns and information on the route, now that it is available.
I'm sure the comments will be flying. !*hp*!

I can also confirm that there are no scenarios. Did not help to unpack the ap file either.... No worries though, route loads perfectly !!*ok*!!

So I put a small consist in a free roam and noticed both the F40 and the cab car have missing textures. Was that where the international branding was supposed to go?

Yes, although obviously in the specific case of Metra equipment, the textures are identical in the US/ ROW version.

The same process is utilized for BNSF textures:

All "licensed" textures are referenced in a separate directory: BNSFChicago\System\

This is the purpose of the secondary AP file that is downloaded. This smaller AP file contains the folders:

System\CMT\
System\USA\

The contents of the USA folder are what varies between the US & ROW versions - specifically the textures are branded/ unbranded.

For what it's worth, apologies guys. The distribution was working yesterday (my system has both US & ROW versions present).

Also - I can tell you that DTG & Steam are both looking into the issue as I'm writing this.

No worries, Barnez. Steam problems, as often.

While watching that consist chug down the main, I noticed some more missing textures on platform shelters. Are these supposed to be "branded" as well?

Where was the System folder supposed to go? into your Barnez asset folder? I'll have Steam download the whole route and assets again, sometimes that helps.

This is why I don't buy the route right away, you don't know of any problems until they show up either from you or someone else. It's nice to see it release but i'll wait on it when the problems are fixed and when it goes on sale.

New Route complete

Have you checked for scenarios and that System asset folder Barnez mentions a few posts above?
It might be that USA customers get the complete route, while non-US customers are left with some parts missing due to DTG/Steam wrongly packaging?

The route ID# is 8c0780ae ... (although sort by date makes it easy too)

I'm wondering if there is an issue with scenarios folders internationally.

And yes - many stations reference the branded texture folders also.

So I (we?) must wait for that special System asset folder. I have unticked the box in the DLC collection summary, quit Steam, restarted, re-ticked the box to force a fresh download. Still the same, no System folder and no scenarios in the MainContent.ap.
Or are the scenarios to come from a separate .ap?

Oh well, has happened before with Steam, and you said they are already working on it. So I'll be patient and enjoy my first ride along The Racetrack.

DTG says the problem should be addressed shortly. I started a support ticket and got this response at 3:52pm Eastern time:

*UPDATE*

Steam have informed us that the download issues with this pack have been resolved, and your content should be downloading soon.

We apologise for the inconvenience.
