No one else ever noticed or cared.

I honestly have to agree. Come on people, so the ditch lights flash a tiny bit faster than they should. It's not like they reused a different loco's cab view, and it's not something everyone cares about or let alone notices. If you're really wanting a fix, just edit the configs yourself.

As I said, no one has tried.

I'm not sure why people get so bent out of shape when people take issue with a product. If YOU are satisfied with what's been shown of the route, just ignore his post and mosey on past it to things you want to talk about. Complaining about it just prolongs and draws more attention to it. His post was aimed towards the authors who DID ask for feedback.

PMing the authors of the route about issues is counterproductive.

By making complaints public, it opens it up to public scrutiny. If the person is incorrect, many people can chime in on how something is actually correct. It's happened many times before on this forum where someone links pics or videos to disprove or counter another poster's assumption. This allows the authors of routes or locomotives to get it right, instead of simply taking the word of someone that told them privately....only to have 20 people tell them AFTER the product ships that the guy who told them that in a PM was in-fact wrong himself.

If I was the authors, I'd be happy with the fact that after all their hard work.... that only ditch lights and crossing lights need a tweak. That is just a testament to how much they got so right to begin with. !!howdy!!

Jesus %$#@%*# Christ! Both sides give it a rest. One side is trying to help but doesn't understand the limitations of constructive criticism and the other side just wants to be the guy who turns the other cheek. Obviously any type of criticism is not not welcomed here. Basically its a Communist forums but what can you do about it? Nothing. Reason why is CSX Buzz will come in and fly off the rails again for some guy asking one single question then all hell will break loose like what is happening now. And nothing is resolved, it's like congress. And most of you know it is going to happen and yet you continue to ask questions and defended your statement and it is completely pointless, your not going to even win, believe me I tried. So how about we all just shut the hell up and just wait for the dern thing to be release and if anything seems wrong just msg them OR create your own RW forums and then everyone can freely state their opinion, criticism, and fascist ideas there. Till then how about we only let the route developers who are on the project post about the route here. !!*ok*!!

My comments about PM people is because that's what nearly every creator has told me they prefer instead of some sort of public flogging about issues. If the creator thinks the suggestion is wrong they will respond accordingly and see if they can get at the truth. If some people would learn a few social graces public comments would not come off as 'why didn't you see this or why don't you know this.'

As far as this being communist, no we are just a sort of dictatorship. There is a difference. Once again let me say that we are trying run a positive forum. It's way too easy to forget that the person on the other end of some of these posts are humans with feelings and we certainly don't want our creators to stop posting about WIPs. For myself I recall well when I posted a WIP of a paint job I was working on and a couple of people immediately blistered me about something they spied that they thought was wrong when it wasn't even done yet. Another time one of our "experts" told me I had something all wrong when I was working right off of a picture from a real world photo. Turns out they were merely looking at a different photo from a different time.

The moral of the story is think about the person on the other end is going to think about your post or PM and try to be nice when asking questions about something and don't come off as a "gotcha". We have enough of that in our modern world.

As the old say goes "If I haven't insulted you yet give it time and I will get around to you." !*roll-laugh*!
!!det!!

Now please let's try to get back on topic. If anyone wants to debate this further start a conversation in the jungle section. WE rarely complain or censor anyone there.

Well emd645e3.... waiting for something to release first THEN say something about? I have two issues with that thinking.

#1: It's better for something to release as correct as possible from jump, rather than fix it later..... especially cuz of reason #2.

#2: DTG has a checkered record on fixes after release. Sometimes they fix things in an update, other times they don't bother. I've had two authors tell me privately that they submitted fixes to their product, only to have them sat on and never implemented. So the lesson there is... get it as right as possible on release or have 50/50 odds of it being fixed later. **!!2cents!!**

I would like to voice how much I am looking forward to this route. I appreciate the effort which the developing parties have put in to creating a route in a much demanded area, and seeing it through to completion so the rest of us can enjoy it.

Thank You!

Sheesh. And I thought most women were hard to please.
Makes me feel just a little bit better about my marriage.

But, I digress..

Really can't wait to get this route in my collection.

Thought the guys working on the Racetrack or anyone else might find this interesting. Metra is planning on having the Racetrack full PTC equipped by their Third Quarter margin (whenever that maybe) but anywho thought you guys might find this interesting info.

Here's a pic and link to what they are doing.

Saw that video on Metra's site.

Actually, the cab car we used as reference had the MDT installed, but as it wasn't turned on we decided to omit the unit from the Sim rather than guess at how the screens appear.

I'm told that the MDT will display pretty much everything that players see with the HUD in the Sim.

However - given licensing issues I didn't want to press my luck and inquire further about the units
