If the discouragement of lack of numbers isn't bad enough, DTG not giving a rats butt about when they publish it or patches to steam certainly doesn't help. Seems they aren't quick to jump for helping their partners for any front. DTM sat on GP50s and SD45s for at least 2 years before going to TaD.

What I mean by "no date" is that I haven't set myself a deadline (and nobody else sets me one) ... I work at my own pace and I can only make wild guesses about when it'll be ready. I'm going to try to have it done before the end of the summer, but don't take that as a promise *!lol!*

I remember November 2013 when I thought I was one or two months away from having the FEF-3 finished (which was why I thought it was okay to show that video of the unique wheelslip physics, explaining how it was done, because I didn't think there'd be time for anyone to copy the method before the FEF-3 was released). I kept on adding things and eventually sent the first version to DTG at the end of June 2014, and it wasn't published until more than four months later, in November 2014. That's why I'm reluctant to give estimated delivery dates now.

It's well worth the wait for it. !!*ok*!!

does texturing or modeling take longer? and as soon as you get the wheels textured, can you post a video in game?

I honestly don't know, because with the previous two locos, I modelled a bit, textured a bit, modelled a bit more, textured a bit more, and so on. This time I'm doing the modelling first and then the texturing, to ensure that the automatic ambient occlusion, that 3DC 9.3 now has, will take account of everything in the geometry that can occlude the ambient light.

I won't be able to do a video until the wheels and gear are animated. That's still a long way off.

i think they were probale for injecting the molten metal into the mold? by the way, is she almost ready for somethin' similar to this, or will it be a good week or more?
I like doing the wheels first so that I can get something rolling along the tracks early on, like in this old video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9SRZMc_UV8U

More than a week, sorry. I'll do quite alot more texturing before taking a break from that and setting up the physics scripting (she'll have my custom wheelslip physics).

I'm really not sure, but maybe they're small counterweights for making fine adjustments to the balancing of the wheels. I'm really not sure. The mechanical drawings don't give any clue as to what they are.

No it's not realistic. Come on.

okay, but its not as stupid of a question as the one above where someone thought you put air in a locomotives tires..well unless its this locomotive. Image

by the way, will jupiters tender have a special fueling dock since it is not coal or oil fired, ( something of someone that put wood in the tender),if not i am perfectly fine with it either way. !!*ok*!!
