Did some more in-depth investigation into the truck issue, and this is what I turned up:

It seems that the Viewliner trucks DO pivot, BUT in the OPPOSITE direction while the Heritage Diner trucks don't pivot or barely pivot at all. Hopefully this is fixed with a patch in the near future.

Thanks. (Although I don't have it)

How about making it part of the official US Wagon Sounds-2015 pack, so those that frequent the site can easily apply them.

The lack of a passenger view for the Diner and Viewliner sleeper is fairly disappointing. Perhaps they'll introduce one in the future.

I have noticed that putting a car with a passenger view (say, the Budd Short Dome from the GN Empire Builder) between two of the cars that don't have pax views prevents you from getting to that car's passenger view, as if doesn't have one at all. What could be the cause of this?

On another note, the baggage car's great for using with Superliners!

Since I can't stand that awful thing that they call a prime mover on the P42....these will be the replacement sounds....

Alas, on the Viewliner sleeping car and Heritage diner both trucks face the same direction, while they should be mirrored. The same mistake was made with the Surfliner cars and hasn't been corrected yet.

Like has been commented by others, this CSX Dash8 lacks traction motors in the trucks, like the NS one that was released a couple of months ago.

Route is OK for me, rolling stock only 2/5. Sloppy, lazy DTG!! !*not-ok*! !*not-ok*! !*not-ok*!
Good there was a discount, for these repeating errors aren't worthy of a full price product.

Did DTG step in the same turd again, regarding acquiring a license before releasing a product?
The required commuter service passenger trains are currently unavailable and perhaps will never arrive in their proper scheme when the license cannot be negotiated?

The long Amtrak intercity trains don't fit the commuter platforms.

Missing stripes, missing traction motors. Tsk tsk tsk. Well by golly, at least they got what is important right - ambient occlusion shadows! To bad DTG couldn't have picked up another CSX locomotive from somewhere to include with this route. *!greengrin!*

Sorry, but I had too. Tell you why in about fourteen months.

Yeah, better not include something that is actually commonplace in Florida.

GSkid wrote:Sorry Buzz, but I'm beginning to believe they don't truly have beta testers considering their track record. I think the authors build it and any quality control ends at that step. Then it's just handed over for distribution. Pretty much every DLC has issues that could have been easily caught. With every release, the day-one purchasers usually find the flaws within 24-hours to a week. We're clearly the beta testers.

We are all human and make mistakes. I expect a flaw or two to be missed, but not the blatantly obvious ones though. I don't get as angry sometimes cuz I remind myself that the DX9 sim that we know is heading into the sunset anyways. When the new DX11/12 version of the franchise is finally out, then I will be much less forgiving of this stuff.

I do at least thank DTG for making this route. Florida was long overdue and we got it. So kudos for that cuz it is appreciated.

BTW.... how are the frame rates folks? Equal to Surfliner or better?

Hey now dont pawn it off on us. The products that have released and with great quality is usually because its the time they decide to delay a product to fix problems we point out, or fix them in a timely manner. You'll see a shining example of this with an up coming DLC in the near future that the very talented artist spent a lot of time and effort into making the model and improving it upon feedback within his resource limitations.
