Um...yea.

I wonder if they are after Altamont Pass. Stockton to San Jose (though that did look like Jack London Square).

Oakland would be "choice". Lots of track work both sides of Jack London Square, and lots of industry south. !!*ok*!!

Indeed.

Now to wait. If they are making this area, I need to consider if I will continue with my route, which has stagnated since I moved to other projects.

Where today there is only a gigantic, tourist-trap shopping mall, the magnificent St. Louis Union Station once stood, including an 11.5 acre train shed, which you can read about at this link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St._Louis_Union_Station. Passenger trains pulled into that shed head first and then had to reverse out through an enormous wye before heading off to all compass points. A recreation of this historic station and its adjacent yard areas would make a wonderful route in itself, perhaps with tracks to Chicago or New Orleans. Here's a photo of the exterior from the Wikipedia link above.

Here's hoping for more SP routes! Or maybe the Feather River Route on WP, that would be a good one because we have the WP GP9 already, there's a high nose WP GP20 coming out sometime soon, and they could pretty easily make a WP F7. Then we'd just need a U30B or a GP40 and that would cover a pretty good portion of their fleet. I'd rather see an NS route but it could be a good one, IIRC the MSTS version was fairly popular.

No there is not enough SP, nor any other road for that matter.

Bring it on.

Eventually, RW is going to dominate our skimpy hard drives! *!lol!*

Might have to get two hardrivers 1TB each. Railworks on one and daily stuff on the other.

Still don't know why RSC likes Cailfornia so much. I'd much rather have a route set in the CN/NS/CSX/FEC Territory south of the Mason–Dixon line.

I'm from Minnesota and I think California railroading is pretty fascinating. The Sierras, Tehachapis, Cajon, Sunset Route, ATSF, SP, UP, maybe I'm fond of it because I like the desert. I do agree that there's plenty of California stuff as it is though. Horseshoe Curve is a great route but I agree with bpetit, a proper modern Norfolk Southern route is what I really would love to see. Or maybe even a Southern Railway route? I would love to see the SD45 high hood LHF in the Tuxedo paint scheme !*drool*!

Dang it the only Southern route I can think of is Saluda.

Saluda would be cool, though I feel like the novelty would wear off pretty quick. Maybe part of the mainline between Atlanta and DC?

RSC has made only two California routes, and they were years apart. I hardly call that liking California.
