Judging by the cab ride videos we found and the many pictures we have, I think it's safe to say that the tracks on the Scenic Sub are really well maintained, use heavy rails and deep ballast beds. A big portion of the tracks is also quite new. So I think we should be aiming for a pretty smooth ride. However, even on sidings and many spurs BNSF seems to be spending a lot on maintenance. The only visibly rough tracks you can find along this line are some very rarely used sidings like for example the old yard at Skykomish or some of the industry spurs.

Michael, I agree that a DefaultRideQuality \ LineUnevenness values in the range of 15 to 20 would best represents Continuous Welded Rail. On the Montour I used a value of 45, as the Montour was still 39 foot jointed rail that saw minimum track maintenance, but a value that high would be completely unrealistic for the Scenic Sub / Stevens Pass. When you guys were laying track, did you use different track for the mainlines, sidings and industrial trackage? If so you could always set the DefaultRideQuality \ LineUnevenness to different values if different track rules were used, just to add variety. Keep up the great work guys, looking forward to this route.
On a side note, it would be great to see some more GN power to go along with this route. We need a few F45, a few SD45 like the Hustle Muscle and maybe a few U33C's.
