How about the Ozark Northern? Complete with 1880s-1890s rolling stock (ie: 4-4-0, 4-6-0, 2-8-0 and carriages and wagons of the period.)

Seems RSC has some photos of union station in california. Metrolink pictures and part of a surfliner car is visible.
"If you really needed a diesel locomotive right away, then go ahead and order a ALCO. But if you could wait for real quality, then go for an EMD or a GE".

Photos of SP and WP equipment in California too. I seriously hope they bring it up a notch with those, and I also hope that it will be a little more Non-TSX friendly.

I took a look but didn't see anything worth posting pictures of. Some real pictures of some old SP and WP, but I didn't see the station picture that was mentioned.
