It might not be a license with a railroad, but with Bombardier for the design of their car.

No its with the railroad. The car body designs are included under the purchase of a license.

I think we may see this in the near future. I checked the achievements on steam and the achievements for this are in there.

Dovetail already told me they cannot release this until they have the license to use the company logo for the coaster set. So it's going to be a while before we see them released.

BNSF are the operators and not the owners. Sounder is owned by Sound Transit.

I recently spoke to a friend who was a beta tester for DTG; he tells me that this project is officially dead. DTG also had a Metrolink set in the works, which also included an F59PHI and Bombardier cars, but DTG ran into licensing trouble with Metrolink as well. Both projects have been cancelled by DTG to avoid a lawsuit.

BNSF operates Sounder trains, but BNSF does not own Sounder.
