I looked last night and could only find the SP version. Can anyone see the UP one?

No, they're not out yet.
And yes, it will probably be like the GE 44-tonner.
With scenarios for a different route for each livery.

My problem with the SP GP20 is it comes with very few scenarios.

Just found this article. Neato, can't wait to see the ATSF GP20 and SD45.

Well, selling repaints through Marketplace makes sense. I don't like the idea of paying full price twice for the same DLC.

It's funny, it reminds me of the 1980's when cable t.v. was born. We were sold on the idea we had to pay for something that we used to get for free.

I'm fine with paying a few bucks for reskins, especially since they're usable in the Workshop, very high quality, and also all have prototypical details like headlights, bell and horn placement and sounds, et cetera. Or at least the ones by DTM and Reppo will be.

Well, finally sat down and ran this neat little engine. Quickly became my new favorite, especially in PHL livery. (thanks, Joe!) (Xdriver)

Everything just works. I love the starting sequence, quite easy once you have done it twice. Neat idea letting the player flip all the switches and push the button. All the dials and gauges work! Fantastic attention to detail. !!*ok*!! !*salute*!

I put the reskin into a Quick Drive scenario on Portland Terminal and it looks and runs just great. Oh, I did do the default scenarios on Donner with the SP GP20. Now if I can just figure out how to get a helper in a two engine lashup to run/ throttle up/ brake/ etc. How do you get into the second engine's cab?

I think that hitting CTRL = (hit the Control and equals keys at the same time) and CTRL - (hit the Control and minus keys at the same time) will move you between cabs.

just purchased this purely for that PHL reskin until i saw that i hadn't given this loco a second glance since its release which is a damned shame as its turning out to be one of my new favorites

This is why I ended up painting it as the PHL. It turned out to be one of my favorite locos and I wanted something other than the SP version to run. Two reasons for the PHL paint are wanted a black loco other than NS and PHL paint looks just darn cool! 2. Wanted to run it on the Pacific Surfliner route and have it feel at home there. *!!wink!!* Can't wait for more skins for this beast mostly that SF version in the works. !!*ok*!! I think Santa Fe had a gob of these engines in their fleet. It's not an easy loco to repaint so I'd rather let the developers do the re-skins.

Here's the original zebra stripe loco I like to dust off once and a while. I'm not sure, but they might have operated on PHL tracks back in their days.
What a fitting tribute !*salute*!

PHL is a relatively new short line. They took over Harbor Belt Line in 1998, this was the original livery: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:PHL_SD20-2_45.jpg. (HBL was actually jointly owned by SP, SF and UP) There will be a quiz. *!!wink!!*

I'm not 100% sure, but I think HBL is now the biggest short line In CA. Genesse & Wyoming(G&W) has bought everyone else.

HBL in California was dissolved in 1998. There is an Indiana Harbor Belt railway, tho. http://www.ihbrr.com/ Just FYI. *!!wink!!*
