This.
I just can't keep up and neither can my wallet.
On the other hand, I don't HAVE to get all routes... so I decided I will play the ones I have thoroughly (meaning getting a green check mark for every scenario) before getting new ones. At the rate I'm going, it will take me years. European routes are on the very distant horizon.

I still have to travel the full length of Marias and Donner! Too much time building and not enough driving!

I second that. Just decided to take a little time off to do some train driving. I have run Marias from one end to the other, Starting on Stevens Pass and got lost in Everett. !*roll-laugh*! !*roll-laugh*!

The Empire Builder will have a short delay until we get pointed East.

It is definitely looking like #1 to buy out of the new batch, probably followed by Surfliner. Plus I do have a "thing" about long tunnels... *!rolleyes!* *!rolleyes!*

Right, you see the navy ships moored in Everett. There's also a container ship and a few ferries.

!!**sorry**!! I didn't think anyone who wasn't a local would have any idea where in the heck Mukeilto was and most people have heard of Everett because of Boeing.

Think:

Everett = Seattle (gorgeously hilly and wet, Boeing, nuclear submarines and whales)

Cascades = a smaller Rockies (just as challenging, though)

Wenatchee = Palm Springs with fruit orchards instead of golf courses (irrigated desert valley)

Next up: Stampede pass then after that should be the fallbridge subdivision from Vancouver to Pasco.

Stampede Subdivision:

Auburn to Yakima (which is the real milepost "0.0")

Fallbridge:

Vancouver Wa to Pasco.
