This update has caused a few issues with installed DLC for some people, in particular Smoke Box Big Boy.

Quote from the Steam forums from Smokebox. "I can confirm that the update to TSC has, for reasons unknown to me, reverted the Smokebox Big Boy file "BBTractiveEffortLinearVSSpeed.dcsv" to the old (incorrect) one. Until the correct file (supplied in August 2024) is put back in place, the Big Boy will be underpowered. I expect this to be fixed quickly. I'm also looking at the other Smokebox DLC to see if I can find anything else that has lost post-release patches."

"The latest patches I did to the injectors in the Big Boy, Heavy Challenger and FEF-3 have also been (accidentally) undone in the TSC update."

There's a thread on the Steam forums that lists several add-ons which seem to be affected, too, including some of the ones I have been involved in.
https://steamcommunity.com/app/24010/di ... 404824117/

Springfield Line, Hi-Line and Stevens Pass are on that list above. Alas, I can't even check which files might have got reverted because I have the dev versions on my PC (which Steam can't touch). If any of you spots any specific files which the latest update reverted, please do let me know and I'll try to publish a patch here as an interim solution until this gets addressed in the DLC on Steam.

Spikee1975 on the Steam forums has found out that the latest signal patch (after the core update two years ago) got rolled back by the TSC update. The Hi-Line and Stevens had the same issue back then, so I assume their patches might have also been rolled back.

I have made those signal patches from 2023 available as .rwp files here:
https://drive.google.com/drive/u/0/fold ... XUkhvWyITz

Please install these if you experience issues with the three routes (very likely crashes) and you don't want to wait for this to be fixed on Steam.

For those who may prefer to roll back the DLC as a whole, Spikee1975 has posted detailed instructions here with the Springfield Line as an example (5th post):
https://steamcommunity.com/app/24010/di ... 404824117/
This should also work for any other DLC if you know the IDs. I believe you can find them on the SteamDB site.

I followed Spikee's directions and rolled back my version of TSC to the v75.8a (2023) and that gives me no problems.

Michael I'm a little confused. (what's new) I have only had a chance to play with the Springfield route so far but I am on 2025 and the signals seem to be working just fine with no patch installed. Please run by me what exactly is supposed to be the issue?

The route has one signal script that the big core update didn't like. I think it's only used in the "yard blocker" signals which were only used in specific areas of the route. I remember Hartford yard, but there could have been others.

Thanks for the response. I wonder if since I bought the route from you direct before it became a Steam item if maybe it wasn't affected. I ran the other routes some and didn't see any signalling issues either by the way.

Along with that the headlight flare issue is only on some locomotives. looked in the files and saw that some were a lot longer distance and they didn't seem to be materially affected but the ones that used 100 as the value for the fade seemed to be the ones that blinked into existence close up where 350 or 400 seemed to be just fine.
