I have started replacing the track with Soldier Summit track and it looks much better. Not so dark now. One can see the tracks.

Was that the original route of the California Zephyr?

That photo is on the Moffat Line, of tunnels 5 and 6 with a vantage point from the edge of tunnel 4. The California Zephyr was never scheduled to run over Tennessee Pass, the Royal Gorge is the train that ran it.

"The California Zephyr was operated by the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad (CB&Q), Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad (D&RGW), and Western Pacific Railroad (WP). It operated between Chicago and Oakland – along what is today called the Central Corridor and Feather River Route – via Omaha, Denver, Salt Lake City and Oroville. Amid much fanfare and publicity, the California Zephyr was inaugurated on March 20, 1949. It was discontinued in March 1970" Same trainset different power switched out along the way.
"In 1983, the D&RGW elected to join Amtrak, citing increasing losses in passenger operations. Amtrak then re-routed the rechristened San Francisco Zephyr over the D&RGW's Moffat Subdivision between Denver and Salt Lake City." The zephyr was not scheduled to run over Moffat subdivision until it became part of Amtrack.

When Amtrak started running the "San Francisco Zephyr" it was operated on the Union Pacific via Cheyenne to Ogden, when DRGW quit running the Rio Grande Zephyr in 1983 and gave over to Amtrak, Amtrak created the modern "California Zephyr" and moved it back to the route of the original Zephyr, over Moffat. If the original Zephyr ever ran over Tennessee Pass, I would assume it was a re-route because of issues with the Moffat (I know more than once the California Zephyr was re-routed over Donner Pass due to issues in the Feather River Canyon, with it at least once getting led by a cab forward)

The Royal Gorge. At that time it woulda been a tiny little train, with 1-2 units and just a few passenger cars.

Post-release patch to be distributed via Steam, but is also available now for early-birds; details here:

https://www.facebook.com/MilepostSimulations/

Note: I had an issue with downloading the patch (0kb), but I solved it by telling my browser to download despite a security warning. Not sure what's up with that, FB thing I guess, but the zip file (32.3 mb) opened and my computer didn't die or attack me. Proceed at your own risk I suppose !*don-know!* ...and that's why I didn't just go ahead and post any linkage here; in case something changes.
CoolerMaster HAF case filled with a bunch of rapidly aging techno-stuff.

For those of you that would like a no driver version of the GP7 here is a bin file for it. Just unzip and put into the GP7 engine folder.
