I am curious to see some cab shots of the GP9's if DTM made them. Hopefully, they are not the same outdated cabs from the old GP9's?

Hmm... I've looked at a great many pictures of GP9 cabs while building the model and to me DTG's "old" cabview model captures the somewhat claustrophobic, usually grimy and dark look & feel of an unrebuilt Geep cap quite nicely indeed.

So yes, we are using the DTG cabview as the base for our GP9s but with some minor enhancements, several of which were already included in the WM Chessie Retro Pack: instrument and cab lights, a functional light switches panel, opening cab windows, repositioned brake gauges, and some minor texture and shader tweaks. And the new exterior model with more detailed louvres, vents, hinges, etc.

And of course the long hood in front of you. Simply the coolest way to run a Geep !*YAAA*!

Cheers,
Michael

Thanks Michael. I agree the old cabview model captured the look and feel of the GP9 nicely, but felt it needed to be updated. Am glad to hear it has been updated with opening cab windows, cab lights, and a more detailed exterior model. !*brav*!

Looking forward to running the GP'S!

I didn't know the GP9s in that pack were updated, that definitely makes it more appealing!

Hoping for CN repaints. Old un-rebuilt GP9s were running LHF I think.

Just in the process of thinking about obtaining this route as I bought the CSX Hanover Sub from HIS last year.
I understand you have Cumberland Yard on this route, does the hump facility function work at all please, has it been included, one wonders, if this route is the same build standard as your other offering then it'd be worth getting tomorrow.

Cheerz. Steve.

It is a bigger download to most other routes at 1.6 GB where most are around the 800 MB mark.

Steve, Cumberland Terminal is included.

On the B&O, everything from Viaduct Junction to the east end of the yard has driveable tracks. Both humps are modeled but of course you can't really use them for car classification in this game because any uncoupled car loses its physics after getting a certain distance away from the player.

The WM's Cumberland trackage is modeled from Cumberland station through Ridgely Yard and Maryland Junction to Knobmount Yard. Knobmount was also a hump yard in reality, but here I took the liberity of "flattening" it because of it's compact size and layout, which would have caused terrible difficulties with the switches and gradients.

Cheers,
Michael

It is massive (track miles, yards etc.) and it is beautifully modelled - fantastic range of motive power and stock - tremendous work all round. What a release :D

Just waiting for the negative* comments to come in, but overall this is great DLC.

(* by negative I do not include constructive criticism, particularly from anyone who has purchased and opened up the route for use :) )

First impression is very nice. So far all I played with is the GP9 and must say that I'm thinking that might be the 567 sound that I switch all of the F7's to. Still evaluating but pretty darn nice. The route looks great. My only issue so far is in QD mode it seems that you can't switch the auto switches over to change tracks at least at Tunnelton.. I haven't run anything else so far. Lots of great smoke on this loco!

I do recommend that you watch the linked tutorials on cab operation. And If you start the first Trailer Jet scenario,it is in the early dawn, reach up to your overhead right, and turn on the cab light,so you can locate your controls. I am loving it!
