Looking forward to it's release. I was just looking at the old MSTS version, maybe I won't need it now!

Yes. ES44DC, GP38-2 (Heritage livery), and also the SW1500 for some good yard action. Plus a big assortment of freight cars of course, including a brand new Trinity cylindrical grain hopper, a covered gondola, a BN caboose, single and Maxi-Stack articulated stack cars, and modern low-poly "yard-filler" cars (updated versions of the ones from Portland Terminal).

oh cool new Trinity cylindrical grain hopper nice. could we see other dlc for this route down the road. maybe dtg let you use there sd70ace or sd70mac.

Great news! How many times have I pulled into Shelby in this sim or MSTS wondering what the line looked like beyond Shelby...here we go!

Finally - trains in the plains! The route looks fantastic. I foresee myself running it frequently.

There are routes set in the plains in the library, not many but they are there.

Having said that, I am looking forward to this route from a very good pedigree.

“plains” ? Maybe “Great Plains” or “God’s Country” but not ‘flat’ so much really.....lots of elevation changes along this section.....

I never indicated the route was flat. It's just nice to have something not-mountain.

As GN said, it is technically feasible.

However it is much simpler and logical to have interconnected scenarios.
So you run a scenario on the MP route ending at Shelby , then you run a second scenario on new route starting at Shelby with the same consist on the same track.

Not to mention it take 3+ hours to go from Whitefish to Shelby anyway. I know I personally don't mind a break in the middle :)

so looking at map the shelby end looks like it started almost at ethridge and there grain elevator there. that be kinda cool go to pick up scenario. like you take gp38 from shelby and have ot pick up grain car at ethride if you made that part of the map.

If it is possible to join the two routes ... why not do it? It would be fantastic to have a long route.

Probably because Maria's Pass is only available in the USA. This route is going to be sold worldwide.

The method that GreatNortherner described making the Hi-Line route with makes a merge with the Marias Pass DLC very possible. You would need to make a few tweaks to the tracks/track rule bins, and the route bin before merging them.

Let's leave well enough alone. Shelby is a crew change point. Their crews wouldn't go West of Shelby!
