Was that division already on light signals back then? I'd like to have a good set of standard semaphore signals that could be used in any route from that era.

UP and GN were pretty quick to utilize Color Light signals.

I vote on the "Positive" side!! :D I can't wait for this....and I hope possibly we might get a "Veranda" Turbine with tender...… #57 with a Propane tender would be awesome as well! $40 is very cheap for all the work that is put into this kind of stuff! Smokebox working on a "high tech" Big Boy....we got an FEF-3.....holy cow....UP Heaven!!

That's not political. That is reality.

Well, I guess we’re past the point of no return so I’ll voice my opinion, then.
there are plenty of socialist countries that are successful. Most states that failed, like the USSR, were not technically socialist. Also, capitalism gives all the power to the government and the biggest corporations, even though it’s “democratic.”

Can we move back to the topic. Socialism will not work and has not worked. End of story.

Yeah, let's leave politics at the door.

DL this AM. First thing I noticed is that there is a missing texture in the river!!!
Signals are dim and hard to read.
Can not find throttle in big boy cab. Or any active controls.Very dark!
Have only run a few miles.
EDIT
The missing texture in the rivers appears to be a missing river bottom tex.
I ran across a signal at Echo the has two bad links (reversed)
Also had trouble with a signal at Devils Slide. Would not give a green. Moved links 2 and 3 a little and all was OK.
On a brighter side. I found no bad telegraph lofts ( wires hanging in space)
Made it from Evanston to Ogden.

My impression after only 20 minutes, so take it with a grain of salt, is that it's a decent route. Track work is smooth for the 10 miles or so I traveled over. Scenery appears well done. I did not notice any missing textures. I'll echo jamesphhs comment on the dark signals. These are probably the hardest signals to read that I have come across. Signal aspect only becomes 100% apparent to me somewhere between 2/10ths and 1/10 of a mile away. It's almost as if the signal does not emit light but rather has a piece of colored paper in place of a lens. I set up a free roam at 9pm and found that the signals are not any easier to see in the dark. At night I had no idea, other than looking at the HUD, that there was a signal in front of me till about 2/10ths mile away. Not enough warning to brake you say... well, the brakes on the F7 appear to be very aggressive and might well bring you from 50mph to 0 in less than 2/10ths of a mile even with some tonnage behind you.

I drove Big Boy for about 10 minutes until I ran out of water my bad. Ok, a couple of issues with Big Boy is no puffs out of the exhaust when in reverse and no increase in smoke out of the exhaust when the blower is turned on.

Nice QC on the cab. I lightened up the levers so I could at least find them until they get a fix out . The route looks really nice but you guys are right these signals are terrible. There is something wrong with the BB unless there is some manual thing that I haven't read about yet. I'm coasting along with the throttle closed and the water inject (HUD) on and it's still going down.

There seems to be some weird wagon sounds that after the train goes away keeps clanking away. No idea what that's about.
