Apologies for another cross post, but many just dont do the Farcebook...

Well there's no denying that Smokebox is a master at his craft.

The bells...the bells *!lol!*

I am so looking forward to hearing how this loco sounds - to me one of the most important aspects of any trainsim model...

I'm really hoping he was able to get ahold of ESU so they can hook him up. He really deserves to have the best audio possible and my friends there can provide it.

A new update - as it appears in 3D crafter -

An amazing sight!. !*drool*! Mike must be a very sick man - he has put more work into the steam turret than others into their entire model !*roll-laugh*!

Congratulations on getting this far; an amazing journey.

Another update from our premier builder. You could spend hours just counting the rivets. !*drool*!

Drop the "par" part, but "excellent" I agree with.

I wasn't implying anyone makes anything close to his work. I didn't realize that "par excellence" was a phrase. As many have made abundantly clear in the past, I am just a dumb kid who doesn't understand basic English so there was just a little confusion on my end.

I will say....I run steam locomotives in my off time at a second job...…Mikes work is "second to None"!! His locomotives are the closest to the real thing on the PC. I wish we could have him build standard USRA designs, which could be used on multiple routes prototypically! My hat is off to him!

Best Regards,
Galen

I agree. Especially since a USRA locomotive would probably have easier to obtain blueprints and drawings rather than a specific locomotive.

An update from Mike - Coming along beautifully.

The sky visible is due to their being no modelled backhead in place yet *!!wink!!* :D

All weather doors.jpg

Apparently the all weather cab doors will be operable independently and he has something special planned for the stoker *!lol!*

Completion hopefully around Fall and you "should" be able to storm the Wasatch grades by years end. !!*ok*!!

Everybody be safe at this time..

!*cheers*!
