Folks, the article says: - "...64-bit won’t do anything to improve your graphics in Train Simulator."

Wonderful and long awaited news anyway!

It should decrease dump file errors.

It's not about graphics, it's about a basic functionality other games/sims have had for YEARS. You ever wonder why your game randomly takes a dump on you, why you can't have too many detailed items at once, etc without your game dying? It's cause you could only use 4gb of memory MAX. We won't have that anymore, so thankfully it should fix most of those issues. And that means we can have more than one SS AC4400 without the game blowing up

Potentially very good news. Presumably DTG woken up to the fact TSW hasn't really clicked with the more serious simmers plus the ongoing struggle to bring out an editing suite.

By coincidence I was having a drive in TS2018 yesterday evening before spotting the news and was reflecting that when you have a nice route with some of the better traction, it is still the best all round up to date simulation of the "Big Three".

Who knows, Google Earth issues notwithstanding (and that's not really DTG's fault) this may persuade me back into the TS20xx route building scene.

This is as good as we could hope for from DTG. If it rolls out in a well tested, and seamless package, then it pumps years of life into the sim.

For me, I'm really looking forward to being able to up the asset block densities on steep hillsides while route building. *!!thnx!!*

It won't improve the graphics by itself, but it should allow us to make more extensive use of high-detail objects and rolling stock. So it's sort of a graphic improvement by proxy.

Still sticking with DX9c though. A pity that they cannot make it compatible with DX12.

There are now creators that are now making content for all three.

No.

Your internet connection speed is the biggest limiter on that.
