Same here. Those are gonna get quite a workout once the route is released.

Santa Fe is my #2 favorite railroad and I'm loving those Dash 8s. I wish there were some official (not a re-skin) blue bonnets and yellow bonnets too. 45 miles is a bit short for a freight route. They should be at least 60 miles IMO. Yet another excellent choice for us steep mountain pass. heavy haul freight fans. This is almost certainly a must buy. *!greengrin!*
EMD 2-strokes rule! My all time favorite: SD45X also love the SD40-2/SD40T-2/SD45-2/SD45T-2/DD35A/DDA40X/SD70ACe/SD80ACe

Southern Pacific RR! Bloody nose/Serif lettering - Donner Pass/Tehachapi Pass/Cajon Pass/UP Coast Line

Why do you want 'official' paints?

I wonder if it could be extended to La Junta... Then again, that would add about 70 miles to the route.

Because it's relatively headache free. A couple years ago I went freeware add-ons/re-skin crazy {for me anyways.....I'm sure you have far more freeware add-ons than I've even come close to having). Most of the stuff ran fine but I recall issues with some stuff that either didn't have it working correctly or it would complain about something missing. I'm trying to tackle my backlog of games (I currently own 183 games on Steam), so I haven't been playing my train sims much lately. Because I'm not playing it much, why install a ton of add-ons I'm only going to occasionally load up and use?!?

Once I got my new gaming laptop, the only non-DTG stuff I added was what I considered the must have essentials ....Krellnut's wagon sounds & ES44/SD70 10-Engine Sound and Total Lighting Enhancement Packs..... Anthony's original SD40 sound pack.... all my SearchLight Simulations sounds.....Eric's Donner Pass enhancement..... and Marc's Scalerail packs and Tehachapi route. I might install the Santa Fe yellow bonnet and MRL skins again and that's likely it. I just feel it's otherwise a hodgepodge of stuff on my drive that I don't want to deal with and can somehow go wrong....hence why I prefer the convenience of official content.

That would be perfect. We'll see if it becomes a route extension DLC. Otherwise maybe someone will extend it as a freeware download like they did the Feather River route.

That's another reason I prefer official DTG content. It doesn't require me to buy routes I have no desire to own in order to acquire all the different assets a freeware route pack requires in order to complete the route as the author intended.

That would be cool since it would also include the wig wag crossing at Delhi, CO.

While it may be a 1990’s route, I do see the potential for steam era operations....this was a big time ATSF steam helper district. ATSF ran a lot of 2-10-0 and later 2-10-2 was developed here because of reversing issues with no trailing trucks. Which spline cars - 2 or 4 wheel? 45 miles....a bit short imho....high speed sections will just be getting started before you gotta slow her down for the grades....

Well, good chance you will have to do some backdating regarding track work. Raton NM once had a sizable yard and roundhouse/engine facility for starters. I believe it was said Trinidad CO would be included and that city looked a lot different in the steam era. And if Pueblo CO as well as La Junta are part of the route, or added, those two cities looked very different in that era as well. It can be done of course with the world editor.

I don't see how he was bashing? !*don-know!*

All I got from that post was someone saying the route would have to have changes and and it would have to be done in the editor is all.
