Have not tried QD or solo loco. But.. ammeter does not work and physics are bad. Going down .5 deg slope in notch 8 and losing speed!

It was part 2 into Laramie. I created a freeroam using the U50. There are three parts needed to create the loco.
1- the car body
2- the front bogie
3- the rear bogie.
What you may have had was the coupler re- engaging and dragging the rear bogie away from the car body.
Had a little trouble installing loco did not know where to locate bogies. Just moved them under car body until they stopped.
I did uncouple with out incident from a freight car.

I did that too and it was OK until hauling the cars until I stopped and uncoupled. Something isn't right.

I noticed that you uncoupled from the second loco. Will try that with a longer train, but not tonight. I was just a thought about the re- couple.

Thanks for posting Anthony. I was curious to see what the cab was like since DTG is marketing this one as “Pro Range.”

From a short conversation with Cesar the hud doesn’t seem to know where the back of the loco is I’m going to try manual uncoupling tonight and see if that works.

OK just got home and if you uncouple in game not using the HUD it works just fine. Cesar said he was going to work with DTG to see why the wheelslip was on all the time in QD. I may try to set this up myself and see whats what.

Ammeter works fine. The problem seems to have been that I had resumed from a save. Also seem to be problem with physics. Also I normally uncouple manually as I have had trouble using the HUD in other scenarios.

Further review (very brief) on the physics. I took the E8 and put two units on the head end of my train and ran up the same grade. Two E8 should be about 4500 hp. I would say the U50 had more pulling power by a fair but not huge amount. I have not really tested the E8 much it just happened to be sitting there already in my particular free roam scenario so I used it. Not to serious conclusion, the physics are comparable.

QA issues again?

And any fix has to go through the whole and long process of creator => DTG => Steam before it reaches the paying customer?

Which reminds me, has the SD45(T)-2 coupler issue been officially fixed by now?
