Has there been any decision on the ALCO RS-3s?

Hello,

with the release getting closer, I would like to remind all owners of previous versions of the Springfield Line route of our update offer.

Springfield Line Version 3 Update Announcement

When will the new version be available?
The new and final version 3 of the Springfield Line will be released through Dovetail Games' STEAM Store soon. Shortly after he official launch at the Steam Store, owners of previous versions of the route will receive an update offer from Trains & Drivers.

How do I get the update?
You will receive an email from Trains & Drivers with update instructions shortly after the release of the Steam version of the Springfield Line. The updating process will then be as simple as using a new installer provided by us.

We will also let you know here and in our blog when we start sending out the update emails.

Thanks for this, gentlemen!

I'm really looking forward to the new version, and it's nice to know that I don't need to keep looking for news of it.

Kind regards,

Has it been definitely determined that Steam workshop scenarios will work with the upgraded version of the route?

Has there been any determination of the future of the RS3s?

Hi Duncan,

dcushing wrote:Has it been definitely determined that Steam workshop scenarios will work with the upgraded version of the route?

No, we will only be able to check this for sure ourselves when the route comes out. However, previous experience with Stevens Pass or the way you can use repaints suggests that it should work fine. Unless the way the Workshop looks up the prerequisites has changed fundamentally.

Has there been any determination of the future of the RS3s?

Yes! It may take us a little time after the main release, but the RS-3 will return.

Cheers

I'm really looking forward to this. Watching it evolve over time and seeing the effort you two have put into it, it's stunning to say the least.

Congratulations on finally completing it and I'm looking forward to the many hours I'll be running the final version, I've been running the first two versions a lot already.

!*cheers*!

It already is a "classic" for those of us who have been driving it and writing scenarios for it since 2013. I'm happy to see this wonderful creation reach the apex of being accepted by DTG/TS, but the VNHRR has delivered great moments in virtual railroading for 3 years already. Gazillions of kudos to Michael Stephan and his collaborators!!!

There is no mention on a RS-11 even if it appears in a screenshot.

So? The RS-11 was always sold as a stand alone item. At least it was for me.
