However - the route will have to ship with blank commuter equipment as shown in the marketing photo.

So if we are talking when the route gets released, we will have the Metra Equipment but no logos.
I hope that someone does repaint them or something to have Metra Logos.

ALSO, does anyone notice the "Chicago & Southwest Productions INC."? On top of the Banner?

If the texture mapping allows this. Remember the Surfliner and Miami equipment being very difficult if not impossible to repaint? On purpose by DTG to disallow unlicensed repaints?

This should be awesome. Never been to Chicago.. but something that isn't a primary freight route, is a welcome addition, to me at least.

I dont live in Chicago but does Metra run trains one more than one line or is it different lines aswell?
Also are we likely to run BNSF trains on this route prototypically?

Metra runs on several railroads in the area however the Aurora to downtown Chicago is on the BNSF rails. Here's a map of the whole thing and who's tracks they are running on. This thing is part of the old Great Northern /Santa Fe trackage.

The route, as released, will display blank blue panels where the Metra logos normally go.

I'm sure everyone has noticed how Google's Street View software automatically blurs peoples' faces and, often, lettering. Sort of like this.

Hmm, I wonder if some clever repainter can do something about the blank panels? Not that I would ever condone such a thing!

If the blank panel is a separate decal attached to the car, repainting the decal wouldn't be too much of a problem?

The player will get the Metra ... er ... Chicago Commuter F40PH & Cab Car
Also a revised GP-38-2 with 2 liveries. (Outside the USA these will be unbranded)

The AI gets to drive the Amtraks. Of course, by now I think everyone that has any US content has a P42DC & coaches somewhere in their library

I suppose that because this is a "Partner Program" route, it will not be "exclusive" to TS16?

Yes, i'm beyond overhyped for this! I would like it if this route comes with the P42DC Empire Builder Pack alread available instead of a standalone re-release. I wouldnt be surprised if an MP36PH-3S DLC is produced, or an F40C Pack using older style Metra bilevels.

I guess we're all ready to haul serious butt on this rail line. *!!thnx!!* !!*ok*!!
