Yip and a very good one at that.
DTG is going to have to raise the bar with this model.

Nope it looks like DTM. It's not mine. I'm not entirely sure if any dash8c had a white uni brow paint. I thought dash9c had this paintjob? Anyway not mine. :)

Just what we need, another duplicate of an already finished excellent model. Hey, how about a U-boat or two? How about some old Baldwins? How about some more Alcos? How about????

Are we sure DTG didn't "appropriate" the locomotive with their EULA in hand?

Lately, it seems many Workshop repaints are like the ones released for free earlier. Heck, even the whole NS heritage fleet was done for free first before RSC released their payware pack and made repainting their models nigh to impossible?

Maybe a couple have it but for the most part it looks like a C40-9.

If it was a C40-9 it would have GE Hi Aid trucks, not Adirondack Trucks.

Aren't those ordinary FlexiCoil trucks in the picture?

No those are Adirondack trucks. This is a dash8c by design with a dash9c paintjob just missing the hi adhesion trucks that distinguish the two. I'm surprised they wouldn't go for the dash9c since they already made the hi adhesion trucks? Then this would be an interesting addon to me.

FlexiCoil is and EMD term, Adirondack is probably the GE equivalent?

Anyway, no more ugly look alike "boxes". Like you said, better have some classic ALCo, Baldwin, EMD, F-M or GE power. Monongahela RR ran rebuilt ex WP U23B's, ex NYC RF16's and probably other hand-me-downs.

There are 30 NS Dash 8-40Cs that have been documented in the uni brown scheme and probably there are more.
