EDIT: It become available after I left the platform, would it be available at the platform IRL or do they use diesel at the platform?

I think this is the first default horn in this game I have liked. I am moving it to the P42DC. I am gonna take the Engine sound files out of the P42 and put them in the P32.I will let you guyes and girls know how it worked. Other than that this is a nice Loco!

there are 3 horns on the P32. External, Internal, and an Internal for the windows being open.
For everyone that wants a treat, open the windows over 20 mph and listen to the horn reverb off of near by objects.

you're joking, right? You must not spend much time around Genesis locomotives, because the original sound set is ripped from an EMD MP36 or something else with a 645F3 engine. I mean, in the end its all your preference, but please don't encourage that the old sound pack is better than what comes with the P32.

Exactly! There's nothing 4-stroke sounding about the P42 DLC. More like the P32 sound needs to be put on the P42 to make it right. As for "in the end its all your preference" ..... that's kinda like preferring a dog that meows.![]()
Anyways....I may get this in the future just to reward the fact it's got the correct engine sound. Well done!

Is that behavior prototypical?
1) DC power doesn't work when diesel engine shut off
2) When running on DC, sounds like RPM goes high with throttle advance
From my understanding, in DC mode traction motors draw current directly from 3rd rail (well, probably through some voltage converter) ,
not using main alternator output. So, even if prime mover is running, it doesn't affect power, and engine controller doesn't affect RPM.
On electric locomotives, engine controller affects voltage on traction motors , using parallel/serial circuitry or combination, and this one should not be an exclusion.
isn't that true?
So, basically there is no difference between DC and diesel power, beside impossibility to use DC where red lamp goes off
