I am at school, unable to listen. And I don't even know what the Javelin is.

I see. In short, they modeled the M8 and dropped in sounds from another british rolling stock.

So there's a British horn in this?! That's ridiculous.

Disappointed in this. Created a freeroam to explore the GCT. First raised pano at New Rochelle and even at 100% power could not accelarate. Had to revert to 3rd rail even though it did not exist at this point. Again in the tunnel to GCT a red light would not change, tab to get permission and proceeded envoking an alarm and a signal speed of zero. Manual does not explain the in cab signal system. What do the various letters mean?

The real life horn is a Leslie RS2M. I'm working on a sound pack for this at the moment.

It seems there's no bell? Or is that prototypical?

Happy to see they have addressed the black coat finish at the coupling ends.. A step in the right direction. Now if they can make those windows tinted dark. !!*ok*!!

No bell on EMUs in the NYC region. The Arrow IIIs don't have one, and neither do any of the M-series EMUs.
On another note, this has to be the quickest turn-around I've had for any mod(s) I've done. When these do come online at the file library, remember to create backup files in case something goes sour in the future. Enjoy =) More detailed info on this thread: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=11163

So far if you look at it in it's totality it's pretty incomplete and there is not that much to do to get it right. I ask again, who are the beta testers? Horn? How simple can that be?

Considering how much time it took me to crank out those mods (less than half a day), it was pretty simple. All they had to do was ask around to see if anyone had the proper sound bytes to use.

Thanks for the info. So prototypical operation is silent entering stations (I assume no horn except emergencies?)

From videos I've seen, engineers tend to give a little toot coming into most stations like Harlem 125th or New Rochelle. But I've never heard a horn at Grand Central.

Unrelated, I imagine there was some pressure on DTG's part to get this out today. They know a good portion of the route is not run-able without MNR stock, and I sure haven't been motivated to do lots of scenarios without prototypical traffic. I look forward to making scenarios now with at least most of the correct trains running.
