Mike just how hard would it be to retrofit the new braking system to other locos? like the dash 9 pack and so on? could it be done on our end or would it require DTG to do it instead?

MontanaRails, those textures are superb. Are they a drop-in replacement for the originals?

It would have to be done by DTG because it relies on adapting several values in the braking script (which isn't something anyone else can do), as well as modifying engine blueprints, engine simulation blueprints, inputmappers and audio blueprints.

That weathering does look great! !!*ok*!!
Don't tell anyone but. One little secret I do on some of my weathering is. I also grub up the digits. Not the number board part, just the painted on the loco part. In this case, yellow. It's a lot more work but if you play around you'll notice. Keep it up. !*salute*!

Thanks everyone for the positive feedback! And yes, I do plan on muting the digits too - good call! This is planned to be a direct replacement for the default textures.

Right now I'm struggling with a strange issue - as soon as I edit a texture, I get some strange compression issues with (presumably) the alpha channel, which changes the reflectivity of the textures - only at some angles in relation to the "sun". See attached for an example. Not sure how to solve this. I'm using Photoshop and RW_Tools to edit textures btw.

It's been quite a while since I've painted something...maybe I'm forgetting something simple. BTW, if this is too far off topic, I understand. I'm just hoping for a concise answer - if not, I can move this.

Edit: Moved discussion on this issue, here: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=13894

Make sure you're saving the textures with mips.
My last post about this here. You might want to start a new thread in WIP or something. *!!wink!!*
Looking forward for your repaint. It's not that hard to make it an extra instead of a replacement.

Hello XDriver - Yes, I've been saving with mips. And yeah, I'll move this over to the Freeware WIP section.

Stream just delivered an update to the route.
According to the News page, the SD40T-2 has been updated. No further information on what exactly.

Anybody knows?
