To put it in simple terms guys, basically what the are saying is that everything will still work in the new version as it does now but you have an option to upgrade to the next version which is much more graphic intensive..... Basically think of it as the next level of "tsx"

No, what I believe they are saying is that everyone can keep playing the current version and new DLC will continue to be produced for it, but that we may also upgrade to the new version and buy DLC for that as well. Such a change was inevitable, and I suspect the new engine will be very attractive in terms of graphics and features for those with the hardware to run it.

Of course, we'll have to wait quite a while to learn for sure. I suspect speculation on it will ebb and flow.

I'll be buying this route on release.

So once again they are going after pretty pictures and not improving the physics? Let me put it this way, on the prototype when I put the throttle in notch 1 on level track, the locomotive does not continue to increase in speed until I'm cruising along at 70 mph. Also when I couple into cars, they do not rock back and forth lifting wheels off the rails, they actually bounce up and down slightly. These are some of the reasons I continue to loose interest in this product. It's no use to me to be able to create prototype routes, when the game has so many non-prototypical events. Just my two and your mileage may vary
