Which means no in my case. Value for money isn't there in my opinion so I'll wait either for a sale or a pack of engines at this price before I'll pick this one up.

There you go. At least here we're still free to choose. That's how I got into painting; to make the stuff I wanted that wasn't out there.

You're an artist? That's cool! Anything you're proud of to show us?

I feel for Reppo, for his models are good, just not distinctive enough. We'll find out in a while if this GP20 comes back in every Steam sale at varying discounts because nobody really wants to pay full price for an 'also run' engine that didn't stood out in the prototype either.

I'll repeat myself again: RSC, please poll us beforehand and bring us stuff we want. There are lots of distinctive and ground breaking first generation US Diesels that a lot of us will be eager to buy. Or steam locomotives, turbines, even an electric or two. **!!2cents!!**

That's not how it works.
Partners like Reppo submit their work to RSC. If it is good enough, RSC will accept it, helping the partner, doing QA, proposing changes, etc. RSC is publishing a GP20 because that's what Reppo sumitted.

Also, there are plenty of examples of Buzz's repaints in the forums, and the repaints are all in the file library.

Painting locomotives Edwin. !*roll-laugh*!

You are certainly welcome to post your opinions on what RSC should be doing however it's more likely to have a impact if you would respectfully contact them directly about your thoughts.

I misunderstood Buzz here, as I thought of 'painting' as in painting pictures, ie using a canvas, brushes and oils or acrylics.

Of course I know about his repaints. :D

Sorry, Buzz, for misinterpeting you. !!**sorry**!!

On the first part of your reply: time will tell if Reppo's choice was right then. His Centipede has already been in the sale a few times.

I most certianly do, to no avail. Otherwise I shall just "vote with my feet" or rather my wallet's monthly gameplay allowance. There will no doubt be quite good alternatives for my €€ come X-mas.

Anyway, in order not to disencourage other posters, I'll stay out of this topic from here. SP fans will be very pleased with their new loco.

I think DTM did the SD40 or 45 and they all worked on it so one could probably assume they will work here.

I'll repeat that RSC does not come to this forum to read what you guys grumble about. You have to email them if you expect to get your point to them. Bitching and moaning only falls on our ears and my ears hurt.

I certainly hope they all look at what the other guy is doing but you are right, who knows.

I come to this forum but I am not here to poll I'm afraid, I just enjoy seeing how folks create and enjoy themselves.

I love the GP20, almost as much as I do my GP9. :)

It's not all that hard to start once you have it down pat *!!wink!!* .
