NS SD-70M Released

Unread postby HighBypass » Fri Sep 24, 2021 11:54 am

I note the other thread (SD-70 coming soon) which was locked, but thought it was worth posting that the loco has actually been released:

Nothing positive is going to come of this DLC...

The only positive I have seen from the single Steam review is the horn is just ok. Which is a bit of 'sure, I guess.'

There was an ill-fated attempt to fix the cab, but the model was just too far gone from saving.

We've hit bedrock for DLC releases, boys, but we can still keep digging, I'm sure.

I'm never one to bring someone down for their modeling skills as I have none, however when money is being charged it's fair game. Also these should not have desktop controls.

I'll say the same thing I say every time. You have two hours of play time to return it. Just don't buy it or if you do and don't like it just return it. Pretty simple and a whole lot more positive than sitting around trashing stuff.

Nothing is ever gonna change, quality of many DTG/DTM releases or US content, some of our responses and Buzz's reaction, LOL.

I’m with Buzz. The most effective complaint is with the wallet, either don’t buy or the refund. (Sadly) Money still talks.

Why in the world, other than being snarky or uninformed, are you bringing DTM into this thread conversation??

Having seen a video review, where the reviewer tried his best to remain objective, my wallet and I have voted to pass this one by.

Ive spoken to DTM, he only helped with controls and the ditchlights, everything else was TLS. So, kind of dumb to bring DTM into this when he has had little to do with it anyways. !!bang!! **!!2cents!!**

Yeah, I have nothing to say with this DTM release. As soon I saw the military tanks, I thought "Yeah, DTG actual makes good tank models." If I was a hardcore NS fan, I would see people purchasing this.

I don't get how everybody saying DTM made it when it CLEARLY says TheLocoShop made it !*roll-laugh*! Makes me wonder if anybody can read. DTM only helped a little in the project. If it was a DTM product I'm 100% sure it'll look 10x better then this.

Now granted criticism comes with everything but this?!?! Come on... especially if money is involved. I don't like to bash on DLC cause I know I'll get the "Do it yourself" or "At least we got it" speech but we're at a time where we want the best if we are going to spend money on it. This honestly passes as a freeware.

Truthfully, I give credit to TheLocoShop for producing a engine we don't have but I honestly think it should be pulled off of Steam and be worked on til it meets standards in today's time.
